Gillibrand admitted to Martha Raddatz today on This Week, “We all knew,” Obama was not being honest when he told Americans they could keep their insurance.

Raddatz: Do you feel misled by Obama?

Gillibrand: He should have been more specific…

Raddatz: So were you misled? http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2013/11/wow-ny-senator-admits-we-all-knew-obama-was-lying-about-o-care-video/

Gillibrand: No, we all knew. The whole point of the plan is to cover things people need.

I'm going for a pap smear and mammogram next week.

What, no sonogram?

So she stands lockstep to support Democrat dishonesty.

Sounds like a Culture of Corruption that raises to the top ranks of the Party.

Toss the bastards out.

Had Obama, or any of the democrats, been more truthful, we would have no healthcare law.

Why anyone would go to a chiropractor (in our industry, they are usually referred to as quackopractors) is beyond me. But, I guess if someone feels better due to the mere appearance of being medically treated, perhaps that is something.

Whenever Obama’s purple lips are moving, he is telling a lie.

Could someone explain why the POS has purple lips? Is there some condition that causes this?

We need an online ala carte healthcare menu , personalized to our needs..

That's a concept, it's known as cafeteria coverage. The reality is the difference is only about 1%.

The reason being, is that having an infinite number of custom coverage policies also costs money, so the insurer can save time and money by offering one plan with the large list of coverages. It also prevents the sale of policies that cover almost nothing.

Additionally, it allows "cross subsidization" where the coverages you want will cost less in the package than individually. You are subsidizing the maternity for a young couple, and in return they are subsidizing your knee replacement.

The large pool of otherwise healthy individuals makes that all work.

What really throws the monkey wrench into the works is the government mandate "Guaranteed Issue". This forces insurers to accept new applicants who already have cancer or AIDS, (or something else very expensive) and place them in the same pool as healthy people.

Since premiums are directly tied to claims...guess what happens to premiums?

Uh huh... I really need maternity coverage, etc. (/ sarc)

My healthy family of 4 have gotten my insurance thru my employer. This year, our premium went up 42.6% and the deductible doubled to $6K/year AND had a 20% copay. Our average expenditure for ALL health-related care is less than $3K over the last 10 years.

Nope.

We are going without “health insurance”. I have a maxed out FSA and I’m buying everything AFLAC offers for LESS than what my new employer-sponsored “healthcare insurance” would cost.

I’ve also reduced my federal withholding to $0. Fvck Obamacare AND the fines! They can only fine you if you get a refund - and I won’t.

Why anyone would go to a chiropractor

I'm not advocating that, nor mental health coverage. They are the coverage mandates that do drive up premiums.

Chiropractic DOES have it’s place and benefits (albeit limited and not as cure-all as chiropractors would like us to believe)

I hope that revelations like these change the nature of debate during election campaigns?

I don’t think you can impeach a Senator, but she should be censured by the Senate and defeated at her next election. Methinks the voters of NY are too stupid, disengaged, or corrupt (take your pick) to accomplish that, however.

Because chiropractic works well for a lot of spinal problems.

I'd cheerfully go in any time I sproing my back or neck.

Treating cancer or liver problems with chiropractic? Nahhh, not so much. That doesn't stop some practitioners from claiming they can cure everything.

Caveat emptor, YMMV.
