Cancer patient chooses death after Obamacare causes his premium to increase by 833%

Here’s another victim of President Lucifer’s Obamacare.

Bill Elliott has cancer. He had a healthcare plan that had paid for “just about everything” of his cancer treatment, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices like MRI. He had doctors whom he “loved” and his premium was $180 a month.

But Elliott, like hundreds of thousands of Americans, got a cancellation notice from his medical insurance BECAUSE OF OBAMACARE.

So Elliott tried to find a new health plan that would take him. But his insurance premium will be $1,500 a month — an increase of 833% from his old premium. An MRI under the new healthcare plan will cost $3,000 out of pocket.

And so, Elliott has decided he will just pay the $95 Obamacare penalty by NOT getting medical insurance because “I won’t put a burden on my family.” He will “let nature take its course.”

In other words, he is choosing death.

One more thing.

Bill Elliott had voted for the very man whose unAffordable Care Act is consigning him to an early death. Elliott has discovered, too late, that he’s one of President Lucifer’s useful idiots.

An interesting comment by Jean on Patriot Action Network:

Obama said this in an interview in 2004: “One of the qualities I think I do bring to this race is as an African-American, my entire politics is based on a desire to fight for people who are disadvantaged. And that is not just a cause of this campaign. It’s been the cause of my life.”

Read the whole article, it shows where he is going with every policy he implements.http://www.windycitymediagroup.com/gay/lesbian/news/ARTICLE.php?AID…

And Obama does not mean a middle class American who has cancer as one of the disadvantaged people he is fighting for. Read closely and his goal was and is single payer and collectivism. He believes it is your place in life to give it up for the poor. Did any of you really believe he was going to hit only the uber rich? To a person on welfare, you the middle class are too rich and need to share the wealth and be brought down. And Obama is accomplishing this by making you pay more and more for insurance until you beg for the government to take over and lower the costs.

Here in Florida the press is celebrating an African American woman with breast cancer who was paying COBRA $500 a month and now only has to pay $30 a month. She isn’t working if she has COBRA and is rewarded with practically free health insurance while the rest of us including Bill work to pay for insurance or die because we care more about our family’s finances than our own lives.

re: policies like life insurance policies, a Rand Paul idea.

My gosh, that's fantastic! The older you signed on, the more it would cost. The person could decide what they wanted covered. If you dropped it and had to start over the risk just might make the individual decide they're uninsurable.

You RandPaul supporters should get out there front and center (with advertising if necessary) with this solution, before the feds and the corrupted complicit health insurers mess things up even more.

I despise Zero and his Marxist mentors (and minions) almost beyond comprehension.

But...but....while we are all saying that, it needs to be noted that the GOPe is complicit in this. VERY complicit. Dirty as hell IMO.

McConnell and that bunch could have seriously impeded this law, probably even stopped it getting out of committee or to a floor vote. They deliberately choose not do that. Why? Because they wanted a hot button election issue that they thought would pay off well in 2010, 12 & 14.

I want this noted and remembered by all of those who tell us to vote for the lessor of two evils next year. Well, I’m not voting for McConnell. Period. They are noting less than Vichy collaborators who, as in this case, are helping the fascists send Americans to their deaths. A lot more of this is coming down the pike.

The GOPe has publicly stated their goal in 2014 is to destroy the TEA Party movement and conservatism. In their minds, that is the first priority, fighting Dems a distant second.

I agree with your every word, especially the part about the GOP being the real enemy. Without their constant running interference, the fascist democrat filth would be powerless. Also, I predicted that by next year (less than two months from now) we’d start seeing the deaths due to obamacare. Looks like I was too generous with my prediction.

The ruling elite will never have to go through this kind of thing. They have a better plan, paid for by people like this man.

We are marching towards full communism. One of the tragedies of that is that only a few people will recognize it for what it is.

Sarah, I believe, used the term “death panels” first. Apparently, Elliott either didn’t hear her or, if he did, he didn’t believe her.

This is, as you say, the first of millions. I saw Megan interview him and it was sad, sad.

I do have to ask however, whether it was through taxes or my higher health insurance premiums over the last ten years, who was subsidizing his cancer treatment.

It was through your premiums. Premiums are based on paid out claims.

If he was healthy at the time he bought his insurance, the company took the risk that he may become sick...as you may.

That's how insurance works.

Some else was paying for the rest he wasn’t getting that kind for coverage just for 180 dollars a month.

This is how insurance works. If I remember correctly, you get placed into a group. It's all insurance $ that's been paid in; he was simply unfortunate enough to *win* the cancer lottery.

Having been the recipient of about $3/4M of treatment that kept my little girl alive, I am grateful.

Having to make choices like he's having to make - that's just wrong.

I could feel sorry for this man if he hadn’t voted for Obama.

In actuality he committed suicide.

Probably employer provided group coverage. They usually pay around 50%.

Let me simplify this for you: This guy had insurance before he got sick. Then he got sick. That is the whole point of insurance. Why don't you whine about someone whose house catches on fire after he buys homeowners insurance.

Under the old pre-obamacare rules, the insurance company couldn't cancel him or raise his rates any more than anyone else in his group. But, obamacare forced the cancellation that the insurance company legally couldn't do before obamacare.

If he was paying $153 for his insurance premiums, anyone else who had the same health insurance and approximately his age would be paying the same. That's what insurance is about. Most of us don't need it, but because of the number of people enrolled, the ones that do get sick can get medical care. Granted if the insurance pool that you are in is small enough, then your premiums will go up because of other people's needs, but this insurance was $153 a month. It must have been a policy that covered a lot of healthy people.

It shouldn't have anything to do with your taxes. At least it was that way before ObamaCare. Now it is going to be your taxes, because there is no way enough young healthy adults will be enrolled in this mess. Someone has to pay for all the new subsidized high-cost insurance premiums. If this continues we will have the single payer system that the Dems wanted in the first place at least for us peons.

Many years ago on the way to a Cowboy football game in Dallas we all piled into a van with a “designated” driver. I immediately recognized that we weren’t going toward the stadium so I inquired of my buddy “where the hell we going””. He replied “to pick up Bill”.

We drove I to an older neighborhood of decidedly less value than any of us lived in and picked up Bill at his home of maybe 2,000 sq feet and AT LEAST 20 years old (and looked it).

Anyway, Bill was a fun guy and theCowboys lost and we took him home. Oh, bill was dressed in a ragged shirt, coat and blue jeans.

After he got out and we drove off I inquired of my friend about “who was Bill?”

My friend said “he’s the owner of blank oil company”. I will give you an article on them when we get back to the house. Turns out blank oil company was worth over a billion dollars and was rated the most successful “wildcatter” in Texas at that time.

Oh, his wife he said was staying home to “clean the house” and didn’t like football.
