A 16-year-old was arrested Friday for allegedly stealing two high-powered FBI guns in Andover.
The weapons, a Colt M16-A1 Rifle and a HS Precision Series 2000 Sniper Rifle, were stolen from a FBI SWAT vehicle parked at an agents home in Andover sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning during a series of vehicle break-ins in the neighborhood.
Andover Police Commander Charles Heseltine said investigators found fingerprints on the FBI vehicle and another vehicle that was broken into. Those prints were run through a national database and that led them to the teenager.

what is a low powered rifle
Thank goodness they belong to our benevolent leaders! Otherwise they’d be “Assault Rifles!”
One that can’t kill a squirrel?
Glad to know they’re secured well enough a teenager can’t break into the car and steal them.
Wait...
FBI agent gets a pass even though he fails to properly secure his weapons. No one mentions his slack behavior officially or in the press.
John Q Public gets pilloried by the press and LE officials for not properly securing his weapons. The DA tries to confiscate them on the grounds of public safety.
Two sets of rules, those for the govt and those it smiles on and those for every one else.
The “M16” in .223
A high powered rifle if ever there was one.
That is why it haunts my insane killer fantasies:
“Pop! Pop!
Run, evil squirrels!
Pop!
Run before this thing jams again!”
around here we call it a stick
22 LR is a low powered rifle. But the M16 is not a HPR, it shoots an intermediate powered cartridge.
i think you be toying with me
ima let you finish but the black ones with the barrel shrouds is the DEADLIEST MOST ASSAULTING ONES EVER!
16, and already has his fingerprints in the database.
yeah whatever do you know how many big game animals have died when i shot them in the head with a low powered rifle....
An M16A1? Old school. Thought all those geSTWATpo guys were into looking like Navy SEALs these days.
Long live the carry handle.
Ya I noticed that too...I wonder why.
And dumb enough to leave fingerprints on an FBI vehicle. The cops have a good arrest record when they chase stupid criminals, and this one is high on the stupid scale.
I wondered about that...for the past decade or so, there's been an effort for parents to have their children fingerprinted and dna swabbed, ostensibly, to assist in identification in the event of child abduction, but it does make one wonder, if this yute is not a prior offender, how his fingerprints ended up in somebody's database.
