Now I know why I take Fox News in small doses. I was watching Fox & Friends this morning and caught Brian Kilmeade blaming the Tea Party candidate for Cuccinelli's loss. Hello! Cuccinelli was backed by the Tea Party! He was most likely referring to the fake Libertarian candidate backed by an Obama bundler. Blaming the so called "Tea Party" candidate for the results of the VA race is flat out lying!
No more Fox News for me! Not even small doses!
Take the wax out of your ears. You misunderstood what Brian said. So many so quick to slam Fox News, our only conservative viewpoints outlet. Geez.
Now he is pushing his new book. (Not!)
No, I was not mistaken! He referenced Sarvis as a Tea Party candidate! I’m still pissed about it!
And I am most certainly not a guy! LOL!
The shutdown was very unpopular in VA for obvious reasons.
Cuccinelli would have won if there was no shutdown.
Still it was close.
The head of Emilies list (the woman’s pro-choice/abortion voter reference) was on Sharpton’s show yesterday ~ 6pm smirking all smug bragging how they will teach the GOP a lesson to go against ‘wimmin’s’ issues, and exit polls now show that single women came out mostly all voted for McCauliffe:.
It was sad to see them win here.
My ears are fine thank you. I know what I heard.
Fox has more of an Republican establishment bent to it than a conservative bent.
That is definitely not what he said. He said (loosely quoted), “who said the Tea Party is dead? It is because of them that this race was so close.” Kilmeade credited the Tea Party.
Fox News can always be relied upon to present the Northeastern liberal Republican viewpoint.
He (rightfully so) blamed the Libertarian candidate. There was no Tea Party candidate. Apparently the RATs paid for the Libertarian to steal votes from the Republican.
“The shutdown was very unpopular in VA for obvious reasons”
I think this is overstated, as it turns out it was a paid vacation for them.
Makes you wonder how many of those other races over the last several years where a Libertarian ("Libertarian"?) provided a winning margin to the Dems depended on leftist money to the Libertarian/"Libertarian" . . .
I remember the House GOP led on giving that handout on that Saturday, as they did in 1996 it just made them look stupid.
I live in Maryland and VA is heavily dependent on Federal jobs, not just North VA but the VA Beach/Norfolk area too, and the shutdown and sequester is messing with their gravy train,
It kept Obamacare troubles off the news too as the shutdown turned into a argument about separate funding bills.
Shutdown was unpopular in much of VA for sure.
Last week I was posting that Cuccceli needed just one or two more weeks from the shutdown news into Obamacare news to win and he almost made it, just a couple more weeks.
Well, I know what I heard. I don’t normally get pissed off enough to post a “vanity” on Free Republic. To post a “vanity” is to basically ask to get your butt kicked so I usually avoid it. I made an exception this time because I was outraged by what I was hearing.
He may have said some positive things about the Tea Party but I know that I heard him refer to Sarvis as a Tea Party candidate! I tuned in to Fox & Friends after having my cup of coffee so I know that I wasn’t hearing things. Maybe he mistakenly referred to Sarvis as Tea Party affiliated and not Libertarian. It could have been a slip of the tongue. If that’s the case, he should be more careful.
Like it or not Fox is right. The GOP Elite didn’t like him due to the Tea Party...and didn’t help him.
They should be quaking in their shoes that he almost won anyway.
The GOP-e has decided that it would rather have Terry McAuliffe as Governor of Virginia instead of Ken Cuccinelli - the man who filed the first lawsuit against ObamaCare. May God have mercy on their souls.
You do realize that in your haste to criticize Kilmeade for making a slip of the tongue, you made a slip of the finger....right?
Brian did NOT refer to Sarvis as the tea party candidate and he complemented the tea party. This is amazing that someone can run with such an erroneous take on something.
SHE’S WRONG ABOUT BRIAN. There, I said it :)
Brian is a good guy; he did not diss Cuccinelli. And his book sounds fantastic.
You going to CNN?
