It shouldn’t. I’m surprised there aren’t SC-bound lawsuits already filed.

It makes good headlines, but they will just find another way to pay themselves extra to compensate for not living like the rest of the nation.

Bohner tried to float a CR with the Vitter Amendment at the last minute and too many House Republicans threatened to join all Dems and vote against it.

So Bohner dropped it and put up Reids bill for a vote instead which kept those benefits for congress in it and it passed.

I recall that Tuesday night Megyn Kelly asking Lou Gomert TX about it :

You know your rejection will result in a worse bill being passed”

Lou's response :”Its about principle. That bill does nothing”

Lou kept his benefits!

Is the point to strip everybody of employer based coverage?

Ask your representative and senators who supported Obamacare if they or anyone on their staff are going to be exempt from the law. This is an uncomfortable question for them.

If they respond, they will likely cite lots of legislative references to obfuscate the issue and avoid having to clearly answer the question. But...our inquiries let them know we are aware of their hypocricy.

Why not EVERY Federal employee? How dare Kathleen Sebelius say that she wasn’t “eligible” for Obamacare because she has employer sponsored health insurance. Congress technically holds the purse strings. Why can’t they pass a bill that would make every Federal employee have to go into the exchanges. Let them have their personal information at risk, let them have to deal with this fiasco, let them have to pick a plan that doesn’t include their doctor.

"Is the point to strip everybody of employer based coverage?"

That is obviously the tactic. The objective is to give government control over a major portion of both the economy and our lives.

Once they have everyone on a government plan and the overseer is the IRS there is nothing they won't know and nothing they can't do.

Saw Sen Vitter and the Citizen’s United Chairman on Hannity, last night, talking about this petition. Sen Vitter is one of the Good Guys. Thanks for posting this.

You have a vivid imagination. I suppose you'd also expect them to be governed by the other laws that citizens have to live by.

Laws are made by the ruling class for the servant class. Eventually those laws become rules which vary with the whim of the bureaucrats.

The point is complete dependence on government and subsequent control by same.

The end game is to be able to grant or deny healthcare to people based on their bootlicking quotient.

"Nobody can divide a factory’s income among thousands of people, without some sort of a gauge to measure people’s value. Her gauge was bootlicking. Selfless? In her father’s time, all of his money wouldn’t have given him a chance to speak to his lousiest wiper and get away with it, as she spoke to our best skilled workers and their wives. She had pale eyes that looked fishy, cold and dead. And if you ever want to see pure evil, you should have seen the way her eyes glinted when she watched some man who’d talked back to her once and who’d just heard his name on the list of those getting nothing above basic pittance. And when you saw it, you saw the real motive of any person who’s ever preached the slogan: ‘From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.’"

is the rule of the deity Hippocratic Oath:

One of the oldest binding documents in history, the Oath written by Hippocrates is still held sacred by physicians: to treat the ill to the best of one's ability, to preserve a patient's privacy, to teach the secrets of medicine to the next generation, and so on.

Hypocrite:

a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

The Afordable Care Act is a tax which eliminated privacy and dictates who what and where treatment is provided by the Lord Obamscama!.

I think the point of Obamacare was to make more people dependent on the government. Take the age old strategy of "Republicans are going to cut your Medicare" and extend that to another 20 million getting healthcare subsidies, plus the 45 million on food stamps and you have a permanent majority.

My question is whether congressional staff need to lose their healthcare pulled to stop that. Why not make it just members of Congress and their chiefs of staff? The way it will end up now is that these staffers will still get an employer contribution from the government and the coverage will cost the Taxpayers more than FEHB does.

If I worked on the Congressional staff I would see the possibility of going completely out of pocket for healthcare as a huge threat to my family and would be actively searching for new employment. K street probably has better benefits.
