The end game is to be able to grant or deny healthcare to people based on their bootlicking quotient.
"Nobody can divide a factorys income among thousands of people, without some sort of a gauge to measure peoples value. Her gauge was bootlicking. Selfless? In her fathers time, all of his money wouldnt have given him a chance to speak to his lousiest wiper and get away with it, as she spoke to our best skilled workers and their wives. She had pale eyes that looked fishy, cold and dead. And if you ever want to see pure evil, you should have seen the way her eyes glinted when she watched some man whod talked back to her once and whod just heard his name on the list of those getting nothing above basic pittance. And when you saw it, you saw the real motive of any person whos ever preached the slogan: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need."
My question is whether congressional staff need to lose their healthcare pulled to stop that. Why not make it just members of Congress and their chiefs of staff? The way it will end up now is that these staffers will still get an employer contribution from the government and the coverage will cost the Taxpayers more than FEHB does.
If I worked on the Congressional staff I would see the possibility of going completely out of pocket for healthcare as a huge threat to my family and would be actively searching for new employment. K street probably has better benefits.
