How many times have we heard, over the last three and a half years, that one of the primary and most popular features of Obamacare is that no one could be denied coverage for a preexisting condition? It turns out that this is just another one of the false claims used to sell the public on a health care reform that seems to move every aspect of health care in the wrong direction.
The Affordable Care Act does indeed specify, in Section 1201, that a health insurance issuer offering group or individual health insurance coverage may not impose any preexisting condition exclusion with respect to such plan or coverage. In other words, a health plan cannot deny enrollment, or the plans benefits, to someone based on that persons preexisting.
However, that is not the same as saying that a plan has to include coverage for any particular preexisting condition, and it certainly does not mean a plan has to include coverage for ongoing treatment that a patient started before obtain coverage in an exchange plan on January 1, 2014.

Hahahaha! It gets funnier and funnier!
So it turns out the biggest liberal selling point for Obamacare is LIE....
WHO KNEW????
SUCKERS.....
"Well, you see, under this policy, no matter what happens to you, we won't pay anything."

And it’s all a lawyer’s wet dream. Weasel words and weasel intentions. How many of them have been seeing the bright new dawn of a golden age of litigation?
I’m confused. So what this is saying is that NO ONE will be covered for these pre-existing conditions because those expensive-to-treat diseases won’t be covered by policies if insurance companies choose not to cover them in their policies? But they’ll be forced to cover Miranda’s birth control pills, Susie’s abortion, and Marco’s drug counseling?
NYT’s stays neutral with the wording mispoke instead of stepping up to the plate and say he lied! covering for commie
Monty Python had a joke about a “No Payment” insurance policy:
“Well, you see, under this policy, no matter what happens to you, we won’t pay anything.”

I would much prefer THAT plan to the alternatives we are being saddled with.
First the “stimulus” bankrupted the government, now ACA is bankrupting the individual. Look for the economy to tank.
The way I read it, “You’re on your death bed? No problem, sign right and you’re enrolled in our insurance policy. Oh, you want a particular painkiller to ease the pain? Sorry we don’t provided that particular one. But here’s a cyanide pill that tastes just like grape jelly. Try it...guaranteed to stop the pain.”
As Chief Justice Roberts looks out over the coming sea of the dead and the dying, I wonder if he will be happy with his deal with the devil?
Client last week told me she is going to have switch doctors etc. after the new year. What is significant for her? She has major surgery next Monday and will need ongoing surgical care into the new year. Plus her employers plan premium tripled!
My point...it isn’t just the individual insurances getting screwed over like this article claims. It is happening across the board, even to those with employer plans.
My client plans to go out pocket to keep her current doctors. For me ...I suspect it means I lose my client to 0bamacare.
Obama didn’t lie, he “overpromised” (LA Times euphemism).
“Travis, if you like your dog, you can keep your dog” *
*Unless...
BHO: “I did not put that in my Affordable Healthcare Act. It was put in there by the folks who wrote the 20,000 page regulations to my AHA.” That’s my lie and I’m sticking to it.
It’s shaping up to be the islamic jizya, reparations, and highway robbery all rolled up into one neat package.
When will people learn that, if they don’t have to deliver right away, anyone can promise the moon in exchange for your life.
The employer plans hit in 2014. Those with employer plans will get the letters of doom next October. Right before elections.
As is endemic of progressive speech, it all depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is.
