Delta Flight 2255 from Atlanta to Los Angeles seemed to be an ordinary flight with the exception of Candy, who was the most loving flight attendant Ive ever encountered. Besides using her Southern charm to quickly defuse every situation, she began her welcome announcement by thanking the handful of uniformed soldiers on-board for serving our country. Tears, yes, there are tears here.
Every American needs to ask themselves from time to time, “Am I living a life worthy of their sacrifice?” Many folks are, but as a country, I don’t believe that is the case.
When the video finished playing, I received a phone call. The call was from my 3 granddaughters, ages 7, 10 and 13. They sang Happy Birthday to me. These girls always overwhelm me, but on the tail of watching this video... it really hit.
That fallen soldier sacrificed his life for them, just as others have done before him. I hope this country finds the courage to stand for those who can’t.... and for generations yet unborn.
Thanks for posting.
For anyone who hasn’t seen the movie, “Taking Chance”, see it.

As soon as I saw her reach out to put her hand on her babys casket, I walked away.
I needed both of those hanky boxes for that one.
Thank God someone recorded it.
Doogle, it doesn't get easier for those of us who care.
I have two sons and for me it will never get easier.
