Exactly. It took me five long, painful years to come to that conclusion and I freely admit that liking Ted Cruz pushed me there. Libtards will say that makes me racist. Birthers will say that makes me a hypocrite. I say it makes me rational and thoughtful because I considered a logical argument. I’d like to know what SCOTUS says.

You’re not a citizen until application for a birth certificate that says so. So what’s your point?
All citizenship is governed by Congress.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.
The 14th is about those persons born in the USA and restricted from citizenship rights due to their status as slaves. Even they, though, must demonstrate they were born or naturalized in the USA.
Note that this amendment does not deal with those born overseas to US parents. They were covered under separate law.
If your best candidate is going to be disqualified after winning the race, you’d be better off to put forward a candidate that they CAN’T disqualify.
But I think if they were forced to give a ruling while Obama was still in office (which it would have to be, to be before the 2016 primary), Soros would tell them they had to rule in the way that makes both Obama and Cruz eligible (if Obama was born in Hawaii). Otherwise there would still be a chance that some lower court judge would give a plaintiff standing and Obama’s eligibility could be brought up for a ruling, even without going through the proof of Obama’s document fraud, forgery, perjury, etc.
We’ve got totally crappy choices. War is always like that. All we can do is the best we can.
For those here who fear the courts making a decision while Obama is in office because it would prompt a non-Vattel decision, at least if there is ANY decision there’s a chance to amend the Constitution to restore the Constitution to what you believe it meant originally. And I don’t think this nation has much time left unless we get somebody in office who is VERY threatening to the status quo.

Therein lies the rub: Who is the father? If it wasn’t a person that had residency in the US then Zero is not a US citizen by any means if he was born outside the US, which I believe he was born outside the US.
They have to disqualify him before he wins the race. Otherwise, the VP candidate goes in instead of him.
I do too. If he was born in the US he should have a valid US birth certificate. US birth registration in 1961 was close to 100%. And if he was born in a hospital as he claims, there would be NO reason for him to not have a valid BC.
What the FF intended was that We the People have the ability to make laws through our elected representatives and to amend our Constitution if we believed it necessary to do so.

Really? That’s a rather silly definition. You’re not a lawyer are you? There is no such thing as “enactments of Public Laws.”
Laws enacted by a legislative body are statutes, and Public Law is a synonym for the statutes; with Private Law being something not allowed in this country by virtue of the US Constitution (I’ll let you barracks lawyers figure out which part prohibits Private Law).

The Hawaii Registrar verified what the Secretary of State of Arizona asked him to verify in specific questions. Among those specific questions were that the father’s birthplace was “Kenya, East Africa” and the mother’s birthplace was “Wichita, Kansas.” Guess who was born in those locations.
Dr. Onaka also verified that the data on the whitehouse.gov version of the Certificate of Live Birth matched the data on the vault edition original birth certificate.
I can guarantee you that there is no judicial authority in the U.S. who wouldn’t accept that as 100% verification of the circumstances of birth.

And if anyone should ever require additional verification of the actual names of the persons listed as parents, Dr. Onaka is alive, well and able to further confirm or testify at any time. But since the Letter of Verification was issued on May 22, 2012, no one has made that request of Dr. Onaka.
Yet, Hawaii REFUSES to show ANY COPY of said certificate.

But we don’t really know how that would work either. People claim that Congress can choose to reject electoral votes on the basis of ineligibility, even though the 3USC Section 15 gives them no discretion to reject votes that are properly certified by the States. Depending on how Hillary timed things they might get the electoral votes disqualified before the certification of the election and Cruz wouldn’t get any electoral votes, thus giving the win to Hillary. Or they could have Cruz disqualified before Dec 15th and the electors would have to vote for somebody else because they can’t vote for somebody known to be ineligible... Or she could have him disqualified from being placed on a ballot at a time when the GOP couldn’t get somebody else on the ballot in his place...
When the other side cheats (as you say), who knows what is possible? That’s why having the rules laid out clearly in stone AHEAD OF TIME is so important. That’s really what the 2000 election was about. We’ve seen what happens when dems are able to work the system in mid-process. That’s how you get Sen Al Franken... or Lisa Murkowski (which shows that it will happen with the AID of the GOP-e also...)
Gotta disagree with you there and so does SCOTUS. Citizenship acquired through the Constitution cannot be revoked by Congress without that citizen's consent. Citizenship acquired by statute can be revoked by an act of Congress. See Rogers v. Bellei
Congress cannot govern 14A citizenship. It can only affirm such citizenship.
Maybe we're saying the same thing but disagree on the definition of "govern."
Mike Zullo spoke to a bunch of SOS’s, and NONE OF THEM would accept a “verification” that wouldn’t even verify a birth date as proof of anything.
AZ SOS Ken BEnnett assumed that the birthdate went unverified because it was a “mistake”. Apparently leaving off male, Honolulu, Oahu, Stanley Ann Dunham, and Barack Hussein Obama was just a mistake also. Hey, a 0% verification rate on facts submitted on the application form is good enough for government work, eh?
But this thread is not the place for this, so I’m not going to sabotage the thread with discussing the ins and outs of that.
Candidates and voters deserve to know the rules of the game before the game is over, and it’s way past time for the refs to stop saying that knowing what rules we have to play by is none of our business. That’s what we should all be able to agree on, and it is a critical issue.
The 20th amendment controls, I believe.
If the president doesn’t qualify, thent the VP becomes president until a president does qualify. I take that to mean a new election.
I’ll agree not to say any more about Obama’s eligibility or documentation, in order to not sabotage this thread. Does that sound agreeable to everybody?
