Upset at President Barack Obama's policies on Iran and Syria, members of Saudi Arabia's ruling family are threatening a rift with the United States that could take the alliance between Washington and the kingdom to its lowest point in years.
Saudi Arabia's intelligence chief is vowing that the kingdom will make a 'major shift' in relations with the United States to protest perceived American inaction over Syria's civil war as well as recent U.S. overtures to Iran, a source close to Saudi policy said on Tuesday.
Prince Bandar bin Sultan told European diplomats that the United States had failed to act effectively against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, was growing closer to Tehran, and had failed to back Saudi support for Bahrain when it crushed an anti-government revolt in 2011, the source said.

“Its culturally beneath them to take care of anything.”
Hmmmmmm sounds a lot like Obama’s/Holder’s people.
The truth about new world order is starting to leak out over a broader spectrum of the public than in the past.
The leading US partners in the middle east are the Israeli and Saudi rulers. They are both firmly part of the Western “team” of new world order, and this is becoming increasingly widely known by the public.
Saudi intel has had with US intel since its inception. Intelligence services are the espionage arm of new world order.
Some of new world order’s key tools are war, revolution and terror, and their espionage activities (which have the intel services at their disposal since nwo hand-picks their leadership) are used to a) create these things b) manage them to achieve their goals and c) manipulate the public mindset in the reaction to them (hence you see the professional and even family ties between newspaper ownership, the CIA and financial elites; at the top, they are literally in bed together).
New world order uses “managed conflict” to control the middle east, extracting oil from it, cycling US dollars through it as investment, interest payments, oil payments, USAID, laundered drug money, sales of military and other equipment, NGO funding, financing of revolutions and terror groups, etc.
New world order uses terror to promote its political agendas, and it nicely has it’s minions running the intel services, the leadership of which can hide behind the legal cloak of “state secrets”. Projects the intel services work on are with “undesireables”, etc., i.e., they have complete freedom to work with terrorists and not tell anyone what they’re doing. If you smell a rat there, it’s because there is one.
New world order is apparently nervously trying to float the idea out in the press (conveniently placed in a paper frequently linked to on FR) that the Saudi rulers are somehow going to “break out on their own”.
It’s laughable.
This is why a short while ago when the Saudis approached Putin with some lame offer of an arms deal, etc., that Putin basically laughed in their face. He knows that the Saudis are “assigned” to the West by new world order and that any statement otherwise would be a charade.
Government leaders “in the know” who have some limited amount of power within their sphere know the game, which is that new world order, i.e., Western central banking, i.e., the “financial oligarchy”, is calling the shots for the governments of the world (and has been for centuries).
Too bad Arab-ass kisser George W. Bush didn’t sever ties with the evil “kingdom” after 9/11.
Soooo.... does that mean we cut any and all monetary aid to the towelheads? Like, no more weapons, no more parts and supplies, no more maintenance contracts, no more advisors, etc.,
Just sayin’...
All the defense contractors who supply those parts and services would take a huge hit and so would their employees.............
Good. Occupy Mecca like we should have done in 2001.
Good idea! -—— Not.
Fine by me. The Saudi want us to do their bidding in Syria yet they will not send any of their armed forces there. That tells you something.
Can’t be true, I haven’t heard a peep regarding this from our media. Wait a minute.
Arab histrionics
“...Man our fracking must have really ticked them off....”
It has. There was a news article a few weeks back expressing how U.S. oil exploration/production via fracking has threatened their “cash flow”. Since I work in the fracking business big time, it made me proud to be doing everything in my power to help to prevent a single gallon of Mideastern muslim oil from barry’s friends from ever reaching our shores.
DRILL BABY DRILL!!!
But, but, the community organizer personally called the Iranians! He doesn’t even call the parents of our military who die following his orders. skank.
I have to admit there is something fishy going on. Smells like a camel. Wait, maybe they are listening to Netanyahu who will be bombing Iran soon and are covering their butts beforehand. CIA, calling CIA! not answering, too busy with tracking US veterans. Mossad, calling Mossad!
I’m in a touchy mood. Went to the Beirut Memorial Service and if I don’t make myself laugh, I just cry.
Whatever happened to the anti-frackers? Even in our small conservative town, leftists and out-of-staters were organizing meetings and protests.
Maybe the science finally got to them.....NAW!!
Oh, and you are probably gonna get some hateful posts from our own..anti science folks are everywhere..even here.
Cheer up!
We both know how this movie ends...............
It’s a Reuters story with a Daily Mail title. There will be contradictions . . .
That oil wealth bought them about half a century of prosperity and it’s clear they’ve blown it-—camel humping and in-breeding is not a way to advance a society. And this is Prince Bandar yet shooting his mouth off. Remember he was the long time US Ambassador from SA, US educated, buttoned down, with absolutely no excuses for not knowing a better way to run a kingdom. The ungrateful SOB is going to get his throat cut along with all 5,000 of his sisters, brothers, mothers, uncles, and everyone else who has shared a camel. I’ve studied these dirt bagz since I was in high school and wrote a paper on Aramco-—in 1958-— probably the best description of Aramco yet written (?).
I only hope They are serious about cutting ties. We’ve given them privileges they never deserved, access they never deserved (think mosques) , let them get away with abductions of US children, the list is a long one.
The real bottom line for them is that they see our oil/gas production as cutting them out of the market. They were happy getting a $buck fifty a barrel for their oil back in the 1960’s. Then they got greedy. Before they are done they might be back to paying a $1.50 to get someone to haul off their crude if they don’t maintain stability. Otherwise the oil is worthless. Everything else is sniveling. Whining about Bahrain is the crack in the Arabian door. As soon as the rebel types realize our F-18’s aren’t going to show up you can expect the Soddy peninsula to light up.
Remember that’s all Bin Laden wanted was for us to quit defending the Soddies so he could cut their throats himself. We could have gotten out in 1993 and saved the World Trade Center.
Big pals with Jerry Jones, he's usually with him in the Owner's Suite during Cowboys' games.
The Saudi's don't need no stinking dollars, they're worthless. The BRICS nations are going to trade gold for oil. Turn out the light, the party's over.
“Remember thats all Bin Laden wanted was for us to quit defending the Soddies so he could cut their throats himself. We could have gotten out in 1993 and saved the World Trade Center.”
I guess it’s kinda “the devil you know” kind of things. Worked for years to keep relative peace and the oil flowing from the Gulf. Until Jimmy Carter decided that the Iranian people would be better off with the Mullahs running things. And then Obama’s big “Arab spring”. That’s working out well.
I think, and I could be wrong, that I’d rather have Bandar running things than Al Qaeda.
That headline isn’t a “contradiction”. It’s an inexcusable and half-assed bunch of words that apply when two nations are about to start a shooting war.
