They will only not get paid if Obama opts to not pay them.

There has been with in our life time a similar situation. Think USSR.
If the debt limit isn’t raised then the government has to operate on available revenue. Out of that by law non-descretionary spending has to be paid. Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, all those are non-descretionary and get first crack at the available funds. Defense, intelligence services, air traffic control, FBI, all of those are descretionary spending and most, if not all, of those won’t have any money to keep functioning.
Will the gibsmedats still get their EBTs reloaded next month? I bet my next paycheck they will!
