At a tea party rally in Washington Sunday billed as the “Million Vet March,” one idiot decided to bring Confederate flag, which was enough for liberals to paint the entire Republican Party as racist.

And the more people disagree with you the more rabidly liberal you become.

Now put up or shut up and do something about it.

A Confederate Flag is not racist....nor a symbol of racism

If Stars and Bars is racist....so would every other US flag used. Yes there were slaves in the North....my ancestors original house in NY had slave quarters

t derailed the message of the rally, which is exactly my point. Only in your pea brain. Quit projecting you inner mental weaknesses on normal people.

Seriously, you're a complete twit. It did have a derailing effect. That's not my opinion. Look at this thread about the confederate flag. Look at the internet spin.

It had a derailing effect, and only a complete knucklehead would argue otherwise in the face of the facts.

Good luck in your ongoing quest to retroactively win the Civil War though. Coming up on the 150th anniversary of that bullshit surrender nonsense.

I fly the confederate flag and I don’t give a rats behind who it offends. I am a member of NC Sons of Confedrate Veterans.

It is my heritage. Others proudly display their heritage. I proudly display mine. Are you telling me I should forget my heritage and adopt someone elses because mine is not politically correct?

A Democrat plant carried that Confederate flag, count on it. No Tea Partier would ever have done that. False Flag event here, folks, it's pretty obvious.

Unfortunately, the Confederate flag represented but one thing when it came out; the US flag represented freedom - and the abolitionists that raised it also.

Absolutely that is how we Southerners view it!! Racism doesn’t enter into the pic. We have Confederate flags all over the place around here and it is viewed as standing for independence and a “Get lost” message to the Feds. Needed now more than ever, I’d think.

If you want to stick up for the Democratic Slaver Party, join them! You don’t belong at Free Republic.

celmak, did Jimbo give you the right to kick people out of FR?

Who in the hell do you think you are? Someone disagrees with your line of wisdom, and you want them out.

Piss off, nitwit.

Those who choose to believe the MSM will be Tories, enemies. It will be that simple.

I hope the "tories" will leave the country, the same way they left the last time.

Hey, I was sincerely contrite about my unforgivable misstatement and one single post did not fully express the depths of my dismay at my carelessness.

It could also have something to do with posting from an iPhone from the middle of no where

fly mine here and I couldn’t give a crap if some PC ignorant fool thinks about it.
I;m a member also in FL.

If it were so racist then I suggest those PC lot remember it was the stars and stripes which flew on slave ships, it were the same flag which went west and raged war on the natives, raping, killing, burning, starving and robbing them. That time was before , during and after the war plus it is the same flag the KKK the Dem party flew .

Republican Senator Owen Brewster of Yankee state Maine was strongly supported by the Ku Klux Klan. Indiana Governor Edward Jackson (Republican) was a member of the KKK. Colorado's Republican governor, Clarence Morely was a Klansman.

On the other hand, Congressman Martin Dies, of the Texas Second district, was a Democrat. Yet he opposed FDR's socialism and championed the anti-communist Special Committee to Investigate Un-American Activities. In spite of his affiliation with that party, it was through the work of Dies that Senator Joseph McCarthy was able expose the fifth columnists traitors.

It's not necessarily a binary issue since there was a time when there were Republicans who were quite bad, including those who founded the anti-American racist outfit, the NAACP. Likewise, a rogue's gallery of liberal Republicans includes New York Mayor John Lindsay, Senators Jacob Javits, "Fighting" Bob La Follette of Wisconsin, George Norris of Nebraska, among others.

The label Republican does not always equate to Conservatism and there once was a time when there were patriots who had a D next to their names.

Ping to FReeper nathanbedford to make sure I have correctly marshaled my information and to get his always erudite take on the matter.
