Conservative actor James Woods: I dont expect to work again
By Jessica Chasmar
James Woods, the award-winning actor and outspoken conservative, said Tuesday night that hes aware he may never work again in Hollywood because of his political views.
This President is a true abomination. To have barricaded the WW2 vets, but allow illegal aliens privilege, the 66-year-old Mr. Woods posted to Twitter, linking to a USA Today article.
One fan asked if Mr. Woods was afraid he would be blacklisted in liberal Hollywood.
I dont expect to work again. I think Barack Obama is a threat to the integrity and future of the Republic. My country first, he responded.
Mr. Woods is best known for his roles in The Onion Field, Ghosts of Mississippi and the legal series Shark. He also has voiced roles in episodes of The Simpsons and Family Guy.

Jon Voight and James Wood both have roles in the Showtime drama “Ray Donovan.” Two conservative actors in one film. That is amazing. They are both good actors.
James Woods is a terrirfic guy, a great actor, and a genius in his own right; graduated MIT. You have to be a bona fide genius just to walk in the door at MIT.
There is and they will, bet on it. In fact, I know a thing or two ;)..
Wrong, there’s actually quite a lot of them.
“Capitan Phillips” with Tom Hanks opens this weekend. Hanks wishes Obummer could have third term. I won’t be seeing this movie ever
He was really good in the “Holocaust” mini-series. I’m pretty sure he sees the parallels.
Cameo in The Black Marble.
It is easy to imagine James Wood lurks, or even posts on this forum.
With his credentials, one would think he could easily put together the financing for a block-buster movie, both at the local level and then at the national level with folks such as the Koch Bros., etc.
The movie(s) would want to avoid an obvious political theme, the press would smash it), but offer something that simply underscored traditional American values. Earlier westerns did that very well.
Actually, almost any John Wayne or Jimmie Stewart movie in that era helped young people understand the difference between right and wrong. That lesson clearly is missing today for large segments of our population.
Woods most likely knows all the decent people in Hwood and it could be a group exercise in resisting and reversing the current trend.
This dude is a dynamic patriot. Bless him!!
Hollywood is one of the best blackmailers in the business.
Yes I heard he got something like a perfect score on his SATs or close to it, I forget, but yeah he is brilliant. I think he was on a full scholarship to MIT which gives an idea how smart the guy is.
You may be right. But I wouldn't go so far as to say "a lot."
Gary Sinese (sp?) comes to mind immediately. But again, "conservative" in Hollyweird is usually raving loony liberal in Texas.
Filmmaking in Hollywood is all about unions and unions cost lots and lots of money.
But once a film is completed then there is enormous cost in promotion, syndication, marketing and distribution. All of these activities require infrastructure which took decades and decades to establish.
Alternative routes are in art and indie films, or in after market sales.
Can conservatives take back a good chunk of the popular culture? They must!
But to do so they need lots of financial backing and they need to depose Hollywood unions and now would be a good time to make some progress because film investment has dried up. Hollywood is going through an economic cycle similar to 1975 through 1985.
Woods didn’t graduate, but dropped out of MIT to pursue a career in acting. With an IQ close to 200 he apparently needed a challenge, to go deeper into the curriculum.
It’s probably like the park service taking the handles off the water fountain.
The libs work to keep people out of conservative venues.
I’ve always wondered why they don’t. They can finance and build a studio out of Hollyweird.
Don’t forget Woods was convinced he saw a few dry runs before 911.
I think he even reported it to the “authorities”.
Ummm. I’m sure Sherwood Baptist in Albany GA would love to use him on their next project.
Kirk Cameron seems to like working there.
