Calling All Patriots: Million Veteran March On The D.C. Memorials October 13th

A new rally is forming, “Million Vet March On The Memorials” that will be held 9am October 13, 2013 at the war memorials in Washington D.C.

The group is fed up with veterans being used as political pawns and are calling all patriots to attend, via their facebook page:

We are all military brats, current and former military spouses and some veterans. We cannot express how utterly disappointed we were that our Greatest Generation were being used as political pawns in the ongoing government shutdown and budget crisis. This should never be the case.

We do not care what political leanings you may be; be it liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Independent or whatever. The actions of the U.S. government this week with regard to barricading and shutting down the World War II Memorial to veterans, that may or may not be on their last trip to Washington DC, is a despicable act of cowardice.

Veterans this week were unwillingly pitted as pawns in this crisis. We feel that this should never be the case. This is why we will go to Congress after the budget crisis and ask for a bill to be introduced that would prevent any member of the government from closing our memorials down to any American, except for maintenance purposes. In the meantime, we will have our March in Washington DC on October 13th! Our veterans deserve that!

Many in our group have decided that enough is enough. We are Americans. We are proud of our heritage and our service. As all of us were military brats and spouses, we have served in some form or another our entire lives. This is our way of life. We will not stand by and let the U.S. government dishonor the legacy of sacrifice of the generations before us. It is time to make a stand! We hope that you will join us in our peaceful protest against anti-American policies.

Yesterday at the WWII Memorial, I saw people who would obey. I was inside the Memorial with 100s of others. I was 10 feet behind the Park Rangers while they explained to people that the park was closed. Despite me waving and inviting them in, they turned and left like obedient serfs.That was dismaying.

Yesterday, I went to Jakes Rocks scenic overlook in Allegheny National Forrest which was Barrycaded.

As I was leafletting the cars there outside the locked gates with postcard-sized handbills featuring Barry Soetoro pointing and saying Get out of my park!, a middle-aged woman with her 11 year-old daughter and her two preteen girlfriends had just showed up to park outside the locked gate and walk into the scenic overlook, as had dozens of other people at the blocked entrances to Jakes Rocks, Kinzua Beach, and Rimrock.

I heard the woman and the girls asking each other in a hushed tone, "What's going on? I think he's writing tickets", as I was placing my little handbills under wiper blades on all the cars there.

When I heard cardoors slam and the car start as they were getting ready to go home and Shelter-In-Place like good little subjects, I walked back and handed the woman a handbill and when she asked me, "Can we walk to the overlook?", I said, "Ma'am... this land is your land, this land is my land... from California, to the New York Island... Go! Enjoy the view... just remember, elections have consequences."

Last I saw, the woman was escorting the three girls as they were doing cartwheels down the blocked road.

I would if I had all my feces in linear fashion (I don’t).

Other than this thread, I know of no real organization for an outing... and several freepers have point out the lack of professional support... I am hoping that Levin comes back on Tuesday with something here to back up what was said...

I am at the point though that I am ready to show up armed and ready for a real boiling over at the palace gates. I want to see 2 trucks parked in from of the White Hut or Capitol... 1) a tank truck labeled “Tar” and 2) a box trailer labeled “Feathers”

They are not going to be happy, happy, happy with Barrys’ AG Eric Holder for stopping the National AMBER ALERT Program over the weekend.

BTW, I wonder if Barry, General of the Senate Harry “Mean Ol’ Guy” Reid, and Colonel of her former self Nancy “Always in a fog” Pelosi realize that Federal employees also have young children that need to be protected by the National Amber Alert Program?

BTW, BTW, the boy-toy, wanna-be dictator Barry Soetoro, aka Mr. Michelle Obama, COULD order his personal Corporate Jet, Air Force One, to be mothballed, by Executive Order, of course. (He must have a few blank EO forms lying around his empty chair, or his Golf bag - - - ).

That simple gesture just might, could, show that Barry also “feels our pain.”
