The Obama administration is adding more barricades at the World War Two Memorial in Washington, D.C. this morning, according to reporters on the scene.
The reinforcements are being put in place apparently to prevent a repeat of yesterday when WWII veterans aided by several Republican Congressmen pushed aside barricades to visit their memorial.
Buzzfeed got no response from the White House last night when queried about the administration closing the memorial to veterans.
A report last night claimed that the Park Service would arrest veterans who attempt to visit the WWII Memorial.
Gohmert says that mysteriously there were no Nation Park employees to be seen when they moved the barrycades. Maybe there is a small ray of something positive or possibly decency in that crap hole DC.
National Park
They were singing Amazing Grace at the #WWIIMemorial. Take that, #Barrycade!
so the Park service is closed due to a shut down of Govt but then they are there to make sure vets can’t see their monument and to bring in barricades.
The white house is still closed and bozo has tried t hurt as many Americans as possible and not even congressmen can get an answer as to who is ordering these closures.
It’s an open air park, employees not necessary..... All this was done to incite people into being annoyed by the shutdown.
They produced videos for Muslim woman rights at the is National Park...but want to turn away vets from their memorial???....
Declaring an ‘open air’ monument ‘closed’ may seem like petty political theater, but it clearly betrays the totalitarian impulse at the heart of the Obama administration. These people think they are the ones who own the public spaces....before the shutdown you could go here at 2 am and walk around...no security or employees.

At the WWII Memorial, Carol Johnson w/the Park Service says they were told to close the site by White House's Office of Management & Budget.

NORMANDY WAS CLOSED WHEN WE GOT THERE, TOO.
How many government workers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
If the government would leave it alone it would screw itself
those employees and the police don’t want to arrest or blockade anyone or anything. If given the opportunity, they will open the gates and turn away for lunch until the visit was over. They are being ordered to do this by some obama lackey that they probably don’t like.
Sez me, this is a good thing and a positive indicator of where law enforcement stands, in general.
You are probably right.
This twitter needs to get publicity !!!
I doubt they will try to stop people from going to the Korean War memorial or the Vietnam Memorial.
Oh would that be a sight to stop those Vietnam Vets from visiting.
They are asking for a peck of trouble.
I used to joke: why is there a toll booth at the park? So there is money to pay the man to sit in the booth and take your money.
But it really is no joke.
Just one. He holds the bulb up to the socket while the whole world revolves around him.
Obama is a petulant child.
“btw, THREE people to put up a paper sign!? And they’re ALL ‘essential’?”
Bet they can’t even read the signs they are posting.
I thought I heard he cancelled the trip.
“All this was done to incite people into being annoyed by the shutdown.”
Of course. It shows Obama’s contempt for us. Well back to ya pal.
