Obamacare is a gigantic shell game. Americans were promised that the Affordable Care Act would lower health costs by $2,500 a year for the average family, provide coverage for tens of millions more Americans, and do all of this while reducing the federal budget deficit. It would be accomplished through 2,800 pages of legislation, tens of thousands of pages of regulatory directives and an interlocking network of new federal mandates. Many Americans were skeptical that this unprecedented effort at government re-engineering could succeed. Their skepticism is justified.
Still, the Obama administration continues to try to convince us that all is well -- most recently announcing that premiums are going to be lower than expected in the federally run exchanges.
But the administration is using as its baseline what the Congressional Budget Office expected health insurance to cost after the law went into effect -- $2,100 a year more for an individual policy -- versus prices that consumers experience in the real world....

I thought it was , 100% after deductible to policy limits of $2 Million. Oh Well, Thanks Harry and Nancy. Seig Heil.
Ok, who are you and what have you done with the real New York Times?
The grown-ups get a chance to play on weekends.
I had a guy bugging me yesterday, claiming every issue with Obastard is a distraction from something or another, the implication being we can’t remember them all.
I ended up coining (I think?) a new term: “Distraction Troll.”
To some folks, everything is a distraction from something that is, in their not at all humble opinion, THE important issue of the day. All these things are important. Damn near every one is impeachable, if we had a Congress with a backbone.
Liberals only read the Slimes on Sunday for the crossword. They will never see the article, which explains why it is there in the first place.

Oops, my bad. This was from the 26th. In that case, on which page was this buried?
OMG - Never thought I'd see the lie Obama told that the New York Times didn't buy hook line and sinker... I'm speechless...
And the deductibles... what are they?
Does ANYONE know them?
I venture that they’re frickin’ huge.
Someone has to drive up the prices of the wealthiest zip codes in the United States - those around Washington DC where our "public servants' rob us... I mean where they live.... Come on - they've got more relatives who want cushy jobs with the government... ObamaCare should be worth thousands of extra jobs for the parasite class... come on, give 'em a break...
Government workers pay more in taxes than the average American too - that's because Government workers make so much more than the rest of us - AND they don't have to deal with shit like ObamaCare... they're exempted. Are you charmed?
Similar to ours. $1100/mo for two (up from $500 two years ago).
In essence, catastrophic insurance with that high of a deductable at "full coverage" prices. And we too got cancelled (may have been a merciful act as we could no longer continue to pay those rates)
I the GOP does not stop or delay ObamaCare, I fully expect civil insurrection.
The cheapest - the "bronze plan" being sold on the exchange - has a $6,000.00 deductible.
All those who thought this was going to be free health care are going to be UNpleasantly surprised when they have to pay up to 6K themselves before they even get a penny. AND they'll freak when they find out they STILL have to pay their premiums anyway, even though they never get sick enough to benefit from them!
Let's just say all those democrat voters who supported this monstrosity are finally finding out what's in it - and it's gonna hurt!
ALSO, only certain doctors are going to work with the exchanges. The GOV will tell those on exchanges who their doctors are. Opps!
It’s a massive transfer of money from those who work to those who laze around and vote democrat.
It’s a massive increase in beurocracy.
It’s a gradual takeover of 1/6 of the US economy.
It is a gradual takeover. But the fedgov already pays 46% of health expenses now.
It has been on my mind for days, the common thread of Fannie and Freddie, 10% Margin in the 20's and Obamacare, and that is Moral Hazard
* Obamacare purports Moral Hazard on so many institutions.
Moral Hazard as in thrusting a deal or contract on an individual with a risk you would not take yourself. some of my thoughts no this:
* On Doctors who can't give the care they want by Governmental Restrictions on procedures and they can't color outside the lines.
* Moral Hazard on the insurance industry that has now cover everyone regardless of the risk, their reduction from reserve cash from 35% down to 15%
* Moral Hazard on Businesses and Individuals as their existing contracts were destroyed via Fiat, and now subjects them to more expensive one size fits all policies in the "Exchanges" only differentiated by the deductible.
* It changes the paradigm that wasn't universal across the board in terms of deductibility, and makes it worse.
* Makes it worse by dumping people into the Exchanges which are not a pre-tax dollar purchase. If you look at the scam angle of this, no matter how you slice it, Roberts was right it is a tax. It is a major shift as businesses give up policy offerings where the individual gets a tax free benefit, and at somepoint we will all loose that tax free benefit which maybe the plan, to get us to pay more taxes!
Nobody understands con games anymore. The purpose of a Shell Game is to take the Mark’s money. The purpose of Obamacare is to loot the public treasury. The Democrats don’t give a rat’s behind about health care.
The purpose of the Democrat party is to elect thieves to office so that they can have access to the public treasuries in order to loot them.
Our entire federal government and monetary system are a gigantic shell game.
One thing I was wondering is: if you don’t currently have
insurance, decide to sign up for a ACA exchange plan, do you
send in the money monthly? or will the ever helpful gov’t
dip into you paycheck, if you happen to have one, and just
take it, a la taxes. What are the chances Americans will pay
every month, on time? Young people change jobs all the time.
How will they track them? Millions of new debt collectors?
Obamacare is essentially catastrophic coverage with free flu shots. For a few people this is better than nothing, but for everyone losing employer provided care it is a disaster.
IKR!
