Let’s just say it’s “Under Control”. LOL!

Salt is in my Blood. My Dad went to sea when he was NINE years old, slept in his dad’s bunk in a wooden fishing schooner in the Gloucester Commercial Fishing Fleet. His job was to swab the decks and cut out the fish livers to sell to vitamin companies.

The famous Fisherman Statue in Gloucester was modeled after my Dad’s Godfather and namesake , Capt Clayton Morrissey.

Good morning Meg and (((HUGS))). It’s a nice day here and we may have some showers later this afternoon. Sure hope we get a few inches.

Got stung by another ground hornet this morning when I was mowing the yard next door. I found two hornet nests and destroyed one and working on the other one.

Gotta be contrary, I have 2 favorites. One is Nana’s deep dish combo pizza with Italian Sausage, pepperoni, ground turkey, salami, bell pepper, onions, and mushrooms.

The other is a Hot Hawaiian with ham, pineapple, and jalapenos.

Add a dark cerveza to that, to cut the heat from the jalapenos, and you have a real winner!

My Hawaiian is a little different - bacon bits, onion, green peppers, and pineapple. Not hot, but yummy-delicious (Hubby laughs when I say yummy-delicious. Just happy that I can amuse him still. LOL).

You hit perhaps the key ingredient to a long relationship. When people ask how we’ve made it to 38 years, we just tell ‘em that we still make each other smile.

One nest was inside the sprinkler system valve box and probably had over 500 hornets living inside. Imagine what a sprinkler repairman would have done if he opened that box to fix a connection inside.
