Two Democratic members of the House voted with Republicans Friday to defund Obamacare and fund the government until the end of the year: Utah Rep. Jim Matheson and North Carolina Rep. Mike McIntyre.
Matheson is the sole Democratic member of the Utah delegation, a state that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney won with almost 73 percent of the vote. Matheson, on the other hand, eked out a win in 2012, beating former Saratoga Springs Mayor Mia Love in 2012 by fewer than 3,000 votes.
Love has said she will challenge Matheson again in 2014.
McIntyres race was even tighter: he beat Republican state senator David Rouzer by fewer than 700 votes, a margin so slim that McIntyre was only declared the winner after a recount. Rouzer has announced he will challenge McIntyre again in 2014.
In a statement on Facebook, Matheson said he did not support putting the Obamacare provision in the continuing resolution, but that he did not want to shut down the government

Can anybody tell me who the LONE REPUBLICAN who voted against defunding was?
Likely safe votes for knowing it goes no where and they are likely up for re-election and needed to be painted a little more conservative. All is for show; there are no ethics and morals inside the beltway (other than Cruz, Lee and occasionally a couple others).
Twice as many Democrats voted to defund Obamacare as did Republicans who voted to keep it ...
Great spin. ;)
“...Representative Scott Rigell (R-VA) today joined 188 Democrats in the House of Representatives in voting to fund President Obamas Affordable Care Act.
In a statement released by the Congressman following the vote, Rigell explained that he voted against the House Continuing Resolution because the bill failed to address the sequester....”

Broke my heart.
Did they vote to enact Obamacare in the first place?
Mia lovesâs losing broke my heart to. She lost because some idiots on the right voted for Libertarian and consitttionalist party candidates instead of her. Other good conservatives who lost thanks to these third party candidates in the recent years included Vernon Parker another promising black conservative. Also losing was Jessie Kelly to Gabby Gifford’s. Jackie Walorski lost in â10 to Joe Donelly who went on to become a Senator in â12. Also Jon Porter lost in Nevada. He probably would been the nominee in â10 against Harry Reid instead of Sharon Angle and we almost certainly would of won there. Reberg another perfectly good conservative lost under the same conditions. So you see it is not the ârinosâ that are losing thanks to the libertarians but the good conservatives time after time again. Conservatives voting for libertarians are nothing but idiots voting to cut off there noses to spite their faces.
And an infinite number of dems voted to defund it compared to the number of Republicans voting for the original law.
IOW, defunding Zerocare was BIPARTISAN.
Thanks SeekAndFind.
And, it made it bipartisan.
There are lots of phony ‘conservative’ candidates funded by the leftists, for that exact purpose: deceiving the voters and splitting the vote.
Hillary 2016: the first bi-partisan president?
Good for Mia!! She is awesome! Look forward to supporting her campaign.
So that makes it a bi-partisan vote,
From Utah and North CArolina, huh? I DOUBT if it had anything to do with a REAL change in PERSONAL opinion.
You said;”Love has said she will challenge Matheson again in 2014.”
Mia count on my $$$ support again if true.
