President Barack Obama is once again warning House Republicans that he will not negotiate over a debt-ceiling increase, even as the U.S. government moves closer to its borrowing limit.
Obama called Speaker John Boehner Friday night to reiterate his hard-line stance. The Ohio Republicans office said the president called to say he wouldnt negotiate with him on the debt limit.
Given the long history of using debt limit increases to achieve bipartisan deficit reduction and economic reforms, the speaker was disappointed but told the president that the two chambers of Congress will chart the path ahead, a Boehner aide said in an email. It was a brief call.
A White House official said Obama spoke to both Boehner and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
The President telephoned Speaker Boehner and told him again that the full faith and credit of the United States should not and will not be subject to negotiation, the official said in a statement provided to POLITICO. The President reiterated that it is the constitutional responsibility of the US Congress to pass the nations budget and pay the nations bills.

Obama will meet with Assad but not with Boehner.
The so called president has things a bit backward. Maybe Obama has chronic role reversal crisis.Or maybe its simpler, Obama is just a tresonous bashturd who happens to be a facsist bent on destroying our nation.

All of 0bama’s budgets have been voted down by the Senate, almost unaminous
I hope Boehner asked Odumbo if he was still sore from that “Boot Kick in the Butt” Putin gave him the other day!!
Nope. He’s just a spoiled child who was socially promoted from first grade, all the way through the Democrat primary in 08. So to insure a win for the stupid little child the RNC shoe-horned McCain into a primary win. Had it not been for Palin, 0bama would have won 80% of both the popular vote and the electoral college. Republicans are afraid to say no to this putz.
Saw this thread? Before it was taken down
Is this a credible source? Haven’t heard a word about this in the MSM. Suprise, suprise!
So then, why does Boehner even bother to answer the phone? It seems to me that when a fool like Obama calls you to talk about a bill, he’s negotiating. It’s just that you can ignore his opening position. If he’s not negotiating, why is he calling?
I found a dozen other links but they all use the same source the National Report.Unless I can find another source that independently says the same thing I will ask the mods to remove my earlier post.
I found one other, a Nixon blog or something but they used an anonymous source,no good for me.
If they haven't figured out yet that they can FLATTEN Obunga with this whole situation then they never will.
And two.
since when did Zero care about a budget?
This needs to be pointed out.
We have been with out a budget so long not having one is the status quo.
Makes sense. I firmly believe Obama is seriously disturbed. Both his parents abandoned him. He shows no care or concern for his family at all, especially his extended family, but even his nuclear family. Seems to spend most of his time avoiding them.
“I’m not going to negotiate with the debt limit.”
What a coincidence, Barry, neither are we.
Mister contitutional professor seems to keep forgetting the fact that spending bills don’t originate with the president, they originate in the house. And given that most conservatives don’t see a shutdown of the government as being all that terrible, we’ve got what YOU want.
I note with interest that the sequester hasn’t brought about any of the dire predictions of cataclysm. The only thing that a governmental shutdown will bring is the horrible proof that democrats don’t want anyone to see...that shutting the federal government down won’t be such a bad thing after all.
1. A continuing resolution for the year that does not fund Obama care.
(not enough, but a good settling point. we need massive cuts)
2. A debt ceiling increase targeted to get the US through the year.
(hey visa! I know I go out to eat every night and blow 300 bucks on pull tabs.. Let me do it another year would ya?)
Option 3 is my choice.
CUT/GUT it all!
Return the difference to the tax PAYERS.
2. A debt ceiling increase targeted to get the US through the year.
NO...because all the "Continuing Resolutions" keep the massive stimulus package spending that Bush signed off on IN PLACE.
