Don’t forget Rick Scott and Pam Bondi’s role in the attempting railroading of an innocent man, George Zimmerman to curry political favor with Blacks. I voted for both Scott and Bondi, but I won’t vote for them again .

If only the GOP had the courage, they should get him to run in a safe district, and turn him loose in the House with a flamethrower.

If Tom Delay had setup a nationwide organization who’s sole purpose was to intimidate voters, he would have deserved it.
Obama did it and we made him President.

Look for areas outside of Austin proper and Travis County and
you’ll find the grass root Texans that you are speaking of. You’ll
find conservatives in both locales but not as the majority.

“If only the GOP had the courage, they should get him to run in a safe district, and turn him loose in the House with a flamethrower.”

I wish the Repubs would learn from the RATS and turn their own tactics against them. The problem is either the Repubs are not crooked/evil enough to destroy innocent people or they are too stupid to learn from their enemy’s success.

"proving that Austin is can truly be called the Big Blue Anus of TX."

~SIGH~ So what you're saying is that if my wife and I wanted to maybe retire to that area (my wife thinks it's one of the prettiest parts of the state) and we were looking for some conservative values, (not to mention finding some conservative friends) we'd be out of luck?

----------------------------------->

Lived there for years and it is beautiful - not everyone's cup of tea but I thought and still think it is beautiful and I love to go back and visit but it is also "Big Blue Anus of Tx". But you can find Conservatives - just go a little further out than Austin proper. The outlying areas can be pretty "normal", fun, and relaxing.

Lots of good day-trips around Austin, too! Get a book on Austin day-trips. Little towns like Boerne, Wimberly (not so little anymore though).

There is a wide variety of people in the Austin and surrounding areas!

May I visit when you get settled in? Heh........

Look at a political map of the country, it’s always blue around the state capitols.

Follow the money. Money is concentrated in state capitals (as well as Washington, D.C.) Money corrupts. That's how you get human cesspools like Austin.

Note that the Speaker of the House does not have to be a sitting member of Congress. DeLay could be in by next week.

Next to be investigated and indicted after DA Ronnie Earle should be George Zimmerman's prosecutor and persecutor, Angela Corey

Leni, dear, I seem to recall that Corey is now being considered for that very thing?

True. He was shockingly vilified by many here on FR. I was stunned at the time.>>>>>>>>>>>

Not I. I knew DeLay had been framed by the McCain crowd ( RINO Posse)....I still support Tom DeLat 100% and think he should replace Boehner as speaker of the House. ( He was whip before)

"Actually, lots of FReepers in that area. Beyond the city limits of Austin, in small towns, suburbs and exurbs there are plenty of common sense conservative, ordinary Texas folk"

I agree wholeheartedly, txrangerette!

RE Boehner:

Well... he got it right - finally - on the Defund Obamacare thing.

As much as I despise Pelosi, she did the Speaker job for HER PARTY well - aggressive, oppositional, and tough to deal with.

As for your dogs... I must admit that the spectacle of watching a pissed-off, testosterone-fired Chihuahua-dachsund tearing up some hapless Dem senator /congresscritter ankles would indeed bring a tear of joy to me ol’ eyes....

He’d have been a great Speaker, though.

Try Round Rock, TX. A bit north in Williamson County. Nice area. My parents retired there.
