Obama enters Martin debate with personal remarks, questions 'stand-your-ground'
Fox News ^ | July 19, 2013

President Obama publicly and personally addressed the Trayvon Martin case for the first time since George Zimmerman was acquitted nearly a week ago, relating his own experiences to the "pain" the black community is feeling and going on to question so-called "stand-your-ground" laws.

The president delivered extensive remarks during a surprise appearance in the White House briefing room. He underscored the role race may have played in the case, saying that if a "white male teen" were involved "both the outcome and the aftermath might have been different."

[snip] The president used the highly personal comments to, in his words, put the angst in the black community in "context." And he also appeared to give his support to Attorney General Eric Holder's call earlier in the week for a review of "stand-your-ground" laws.

... Those that have the bully pulpits out there to make a difference need to get off their collective asses to help diffuse the growing unrest that is being encouraged and inflamed by the administrations propaganda machine.

.... The problem with all of this race bating is that the Race Industry has been hiding and covering up any positive information attesting to the real character of Mr. George Zimmerman as opposed by the media fabricated one. The more information that gets out there that makes it to the vacant brains of the so called Low Information useless idiot public out there, the better chance that this incident will be subdued .... because ... let's face it ...... they picked the wrong guy to brand a Rabid Racist!!!

There absolutely needs to be a concerted effort to get the information out to the public even if it means spending a few advertising dollars to do so. There needs to be articles and perhaps viral videos and news specials made that tell the actual truth about Zimmerman!!!

..... For instance, unlike the vapid empty headed braindeads out there ... we all know that Zimmerman mentored under privileged black youth and was involved in the community ..... But, Did you all know .... that the evil George Zimmerman forced the investigation, arrest and discipline of a police Lieutenant's son who beat up a black youth ....... How much does America really know about George Zimmerman?

When do you acknowledge my pain and stop ascribing all the woes of the world on the white man?

Feh!

I just this minute posted this on another thread:

This comment was a GIGANTIC mistake.

For any President, let alone the petulant Obama, to align himself with a court case — especially AFTER a jury has decided it — not only demeans the presidency, it reinforces the idea that this is a single-issue guy, and that issue is race. Not smart “optics”.

Poor ol Hispanic George Zimmerman’s Great Pee Pah was black, his girl friend was black, he mentored black kids, he defended a homeless black man.
But Obama and Holder painted him white, just so they can get Whitey.

The most divisive president in US history. He is a disgrace.

Making excuses for blacks rioting and causing mayhem over this.

Stand your ground laws had absolutely nothing to do with this case.

This president is a racial demagogue.

SYG had nothing to do with the case, but he knows that.

The DOJ sent community agitators to Sanford the minute it hit the news.

This was just another "under the radar" gun control propaganda campaign.

call and demand this administration be put under house arrest.

Yeah, put them under house arrest in front of a computer so they can post duplicate threads on FR under their own dumb headlines!

Mr. pResident, as a lawyer, you know damn well that Stand Your Ground laws played no part in this trial.

Now kindly keep your divisive racist agenda to yourself, and stop attacking my right to defend myself, because I am going to do exactly that whether you or anyone else tells me I can or not.

I’m appalled that the president of the US and the AG aren’t asking for calm and respecting the process of trial by jury. Has there ever before been a president who has through his words encouraged protests which could easily become riots?

Translation: The Jury Acted Stupidly.

I would have thought blacks in deprived areas would benefit from a stand your ground law.
But let's face it, just like Sandy Hook, the facts don't matter, it's just a gun grab.
Failing that, an attempt to make it illegal to USE a gun under any circumstances. Especially against one of 0bamas sons.

This is a transparent first step in Gun Control legislation.

Now that blacks are in high positions of power, they are eager to hand out Jim Crow to others, just as Democrats passed them in the early 20th Century to keep innocent victims defenseless against violent thugs. The color of the thugs has changed, and the color of the victims has changed, but the party supporting Jim Crow gun control laws keeping victims defenseless has not changed at all.
