Al Gore Should Thank Fox News
Me

Posted on 07/19/2013 2:29:45 AM PDT by MacMattico

It's 5:10am Friday. The Fox News weather chick just announced, in a somewhat distressed voice, that we've globally had the highest average June temperature on record and the four highest average June temperatures of all time have occurred since 1998. She did get in there at the last minute that "all time" means since they started keeping track in 1880. And I'm sure the temperature taking devises all over the world were oh so technologically advanced that we can depend on those stats from 1880 on. Just what was the average June temperature in Mongolia or The Amazon in 1880? 1930? 1960? To the casual listener, be afraid, very afraid!!

I'm sure Al Gore is revving up the climate change money making machine as we speak.

And here in Georgia just the other day, the weatherman was commenting with the local liberal announcer that there have been nearly 20 days or so this month (plus expected) of temperatures below 90 degrees. Very unusual for July.

Georgia, after several years of what hysterics have called “drought”, is up about 14” of rain.

So much for global warming.

What’s really annoying is that they are getting their averages obtained in different ways in different places to get their overall average and then compare that with averages from the past. This is not comparing apples with apples.

Well, I’m sure that means the sea level will rise by 100 ft or so and Barbara Streisand will have to move inland.

If you tell a lie and in this day and age LIES enough times it is believed as truth. Are thier changes? yes, could they be from solar activity? yes. The UN, Gore and the regime have stumbled upon a scam they can get rich off of, a regime that can tune its agenda to and also brainwash our children thru fed ed

I want to hear their explanations of why it was so hot back in the 30s. But they never say a word about those records, which still stand in some places.

This thread made me go look at WRAL.com’s Almanac.

High for today is expected to be 93 deg while the average is 90 deg. But the record high was 101 deg in 1902.

Has fat Al ever explained the MWP (medieval warm period), followed by the little ice age?

"that we've globally had the highest average June temperature on record and the four highest average June temperatures of all time have occurred since 1998"

Hogwash!

Last year at this time my grass was dry. It was 80% brown. This year it is lush. This week has been hot and humid. That's all. I do recall other years when the grass had turned brown. I didn't hear any outcry of global BS.

Britain had the coldest winter in 300 years last year... North America had a record cold year. Liberal Lies about hottest June. We have been cooler than normal in Mississippi... and fox is infected with liberalism and is no longer trustworthy.

The media never remembers - but I recall Obama commenting on a drought in Atlanta - saying something stupid like Global warming was drying up the city. Been raining like crazy in the southeast - wonder what the dumb ass would say now.

If the Earth has been around for 4 billion years, it has been here for over 1,460,000,000,000 (1 trillion, 460 billion) days.
If we have been keeping records for over 200 years, it has been 73,000 days.
Knock off the excess zeros, and the ratio is 73:1.46 billion.
In dollar terms, that is 1¢ per every $2 million.

The "records" are meaningless.

Not the warmest in the US where there is a chance that there are actually records going back to 1880.
