HOW MANY BREAK-INS has there been in "THE RETREAT AT TWIN LAKES" 260-unit gated town-home community in Sanford, Florida, since Trayvon Martin died?

We know this from the Shooting of Trayvon Martin:

The Retreat at Twin Lakes is a 260-unit gated townhome community in Sanford, Florida.^[59][60] The population in the development at the time of the shooting, was about 49% non-Hispanic white, 23% Hispanic (of any race), 20% black, and 5% Asian, according to Census figures.^[47] Both George Zimmerman and Tracy Martin's fiancées were renting homes in the development when the shooting occurred.^[23] At the time of the shooting, Martin had been staying with his father's fiancee at The Retreat.^[22]

From January 1, 2011 through February 26, 2012, police were called to The Retreat at Twin Lakes 402 times.^[47] During the 18 months preceding the February 26 shooting, Zimmerman called the non-emergency police line seven times. On five of those calls, Zimmerman reported suspicious looking men in the area, but never offered the men's race without first being asked by the dispatcher.^[61][62][63] Crimes committed at The Retreat in the year prior to Martin's death included eight burglaries, nine thefts, and one shooting.^[64] Twin Lakes residents said there were dozens of reports of attempted break-ins, which had created an atmosphere of fear in their neighborhood.^[32]

In September 2011, the Twin Lakes residents held an organizational meeting to create a neighborhood watch program. Zimmerman was selected by neighbors as the program's coordinator, according to Wendy Dorival, Neighborhood Watch organizer for the Sanford Police Department.^[4][4][65]

Three weeks prior to the shooting, on February 2, 2012, Zimmerman called police to report a young man peering into the windows of an empty Twin Lakes home. Zimmerman was told a police car was on the way and he waited for their arrival. By the time police arrived, the suspect had fled. On February 6, workers witnessed two young black men lingering in the yard of a Twin Lakes resident around the same time her home was burgled. A new laptop and some gold jewelry were stolen. The next day police discovered the stolen laptop in the backpack of a young black man, which led to his arrest. Zimmerman identified this young man as the same person he had spotted peering into windows on February 2.^[32]

Zimmerman had been licensed to carry a firearm since November 2009. In response to Zimmerman's multiple reports regarding a loose pit bull in the Twin Lakes neighborhood, a Seminole County Animal Services officer advised Zimmerman to "get a gun", according to a friend, rather than rely on pepper spray to fend off the pit bull, which on one occasion had cornered his wife.^[32] Although neighborhood watch volunteers are not encouraged to carry weapons, Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee acknowledged that Zimmerman had a legal right to carry his firearm on the night of the shooting.^[47]


We also know that had the situation been handled different by Trayvon Martin, he might still be alive.
For instance, what if it had gone like null and void suggested ?

Step #1: Don’t pin George Zimmerman down on the ground.

Step #2: Don’t break George Zimmerman’s nose.

Step #3: Don’t give George Zimmerman two black eyes.

Step #4: Don’t repeatedly slam George Zimmerman’s head on the pavement.


But he missed some steps:
-1. Don't get suspended from school for possessing traces of marijuana.

-2. Don't steal 12 pcs of ladies jewelry, and a man’s watch.

-3. Don't keep a flat head screwdriver described as “a burglary tool”, in your backpack.

-4. Don't have a criminal past of theft, hiding and acting suspicious.

-5. Don't encourage ... fellow thugs to commit murder with the tweet, “Plzz shoot da #mf dat lied 2 u!”.



-6. Don't have a police record FOIA Sunlight And More Trayvon Martin Police Records.

-7. Don't have Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin for parents, who didn't discipline their unruly son, when he needed it.
Then they refused to admit to themselves, at each step along the way toward this disaster, that their son, Trayvon Martin, had a real problem and needed professional help!

This is reference to an editorial run in Canada Free Press. The Canadians got it right.! Too bad half of the so called conservatives talk show hosts I’ve been listening to can’t seem to be willing to connect the dots to what a heavy hand his imperious highness played in this example of socialist justice meted out to serve the policies of the state . Turning this into a show trial replete with wall to wall tv coverage.

.For certain since the not guilty verdict has been rendered the facts of this case are still being concealed by the media such as pictures of both side by side they look like cousins. The mixed area that Zimmerman was a “watch captain” in was struggling with single and groups of young blacks on the prowl.,In some instances armed, preying on homeowners.in his area..That area wasn’t even examinined because it wouldn’t fit their agenda.. Which if done , if true journalisim existed, because that might explain his action of surveilance . In many watch areas that’s done frequently when the subject disappears from view they may leave their vehicle and continue surveilance on foot.. WHAT THE DEMO-COMS HAVE DONE IS PUT THESE SUCESSFULL PROGRAMS BECAUSE OF ITS IDEOLOGY IN JEPORADY....

I am on the board of my HOA.

We talked about gating our community. We were told by the city if we did that, we would be responsible for the upkeep of the streets and sidewalks, essentially assuming ownership.

So yes, Trayvon was walking on the private communities property, not public property.

Seems that if the breakins got worse, it could be because a diligent Community-Watcher had been removed from the scene and any others would be afraid to keep an eye on suspicious strangers - now that any Hoodie now has the MSNBC right to bash in the head of a person who tries to watch them as they scope out resident’s doors and windows.

I presume you are trying to make the case that the shooting reduced the number of break-ins,
but you can't separate the influence of the shooting from other factors.
The area has received intense national attention, which has probably caused a huge increase in visitors to the area -- reporters, gawking tourists, etc.
It may be a gated community, but people can get in if they really want to.
Locals are probably concerned about Black Panther types showing up to attack residents who testified, so they are probably paying extremely close attention to strangers.
Shooting or no shooting, the Retreat at Twin Lakes is about the last place that any Florida thief wants to visit these days
if he hopes to avoid being noticed.

It absolutely matters, and is STRONG circumstantial evidence
that "Trayvon Martin was GUILTY of many of the recent break-ins before he died."
As for your presuming:

First, I am presuming that "Trayvon Martin was GUILTY of the break-ins!"

Second, while your point about "the shooting" is a consideration, YOU CAN SEPARATE the shooting from other factors.
But "LIBERALS" CAN'T COMPREHEND FACTS!
If "the Retreat at Twin Lakes" truly IS a GATED COMMUNITY, then they do control who comes and goes in and out of their community.

Since it's a GATED COMMUNITY, the local police don't patrol it, but only respond to calls they receive from its residence.

The answer may lie in police records,
which show that 50 suspicious-person reports were called in to police in the past year at Twin Lakes.
There were eight burglaries, nine thefts and one other shooting in the year prior to Trayvon’s death.

Most of the media keeps talking about Trayvon walking along a public street.... This is a gated community. I'll be a dollar to donut that the street is part of the CC&R's and is really a PRIVATE street.

According to Google Maps, the streets inside that development are private roads.

It would probably be a good idea if you include your date of birth, too. And your Social Security number as well. After all, if you just yell your name, how would people know for certain that you are who you say you are? It might be a case if identity theft!

Maybe, what with the GPSes in our cell phone and all, we need to go all the way and have a miniaturized “black box” surgically implanted into our skulls. That way if we are found bludgeoned by the roadside, our special prosecutors will be able to tell us that we haven’t been subjected to sufficient abuse to cause permanent brain damage, and therefore require permanent incarceration rather than institutionalization in a nursing home!
