I fear we are looking at something far more sinister than standard, run-of-the-mill, meat and potatoes, liberalism striving to extend a dependency culture. I think we are looking at distortion of the Department Of Justice into an agency on the prowl for ways to "transform" America.

The exhortation is to seize upon the Travon Martin case to "work [ing] to bring down the various structures and the various systems…."

This is a page right out of revolutionary Marxism, and the Saul Alinsky playbook. This represents the institutionalization of radical Marxism in the Department of Justice. We are looking at the perversion of the administration of justice to achieve Obamas radical Marxist "transformation."

This is a pernicious and potentially dangerous subversion of the rule law. Beyond substituting identity justice for the rule law, the whole Zimmerman affair is now revealed to be but one more effort by the Obama administration to radicalize America.

This is a big leap to make from this quantum of evidence but it is pointing in that direction and it is pointing in the same direction as a lot of other arrows.

Among the many bizarre happenings of the case - including trying to get a charge involving child abuse - is Bernie saying in closing argument that Martin didn’t even steal his skittles. He actually paid for them.

I imagine they'll declare it in Florida (at least) after the verdict and see how it goes on a larger scale (than Boston, which of course went swimmingly).

I believe you're right, nathanbedford, though I can tell you if I were a wannabe tyrant, I'd do a far better job of concocting and putting on a show trial. Everything I've seen thus far indicates the show trial was cobbled together by half-baked nitwits. They couldn't fake any evidence? They couldn't be troubled to coach their so-called "witnesses?" The persecution couldn't concoct a better performance? The alleged "judge" couldn't be bothered to read the ruling she quoted?

I can't guess whether the jury members will do the right thing or let themselves be intimidated into going along with the lackluster performance, but am very sure the persecution's and judge's grossly moronic mistakes have handed Zimmerman an acquittal on appeal. How smart was any of that?

If you're going to lynch an innocent man to turn up the heat under manufactured racial distrust, you should at least show up with a length of rope rather than a short piece of frayed twine.
