A new Android app asks users to expose the home addresses of gun owners they deem potentially unsafe -- and share that information with the world.
The Gun Geo Marker app, released to Googles Play app store on July 7, invites users to mark the homes and businesses of suspected unsafe gun owners
to help others in the area learn about their geography of risk from gun accidents or violence."

What would stop people from reporting all liberal/progressive leaders and their minions?
“I would suggest one be developed for homosexuals also. I would like to know what areas to avoid.”
No reason you can’t use the firearms app to identify suspected homosexuals as unsafe gun owners.
Or local politicians, people who let their dog use your front yard, suspected TEA Party leaders, SIEU members.
Or just go through your local phone directory from Aanthony A. Aardvarrk to Zelda Z. Zzzimmermann.
This app sounds like a lot of fun! Anyone can generate lots of social chaos with it!
Nary a thing, FRiend. I think that 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is a prime candidate for being listed as the home of a reckless gun owner...
What prevents us from downloading this app and marking the residences of liberal politicians, activists and anyone else on the other side? Nothing? Very good, carry on.
“Ok, lets counter-attack.
Someone needs to write an app that locates homes of ultra-liberal, anti-gun types”
Just use the same app flagging them as owners of unsecured Class 3 weapons. Less effort than a new app.
There was an effort among some churches to have a database of houses where it was safe to let your kids play. Gun owners were never on the “safe” list and if someone found out that a house had guns it was dropped from the “safe” list. Same idea here.
Great. So if you got a Gadsden Flag, Molon Lave, or any other “dissident” sticker on your car, you get your house flagged...
or a vengeful divorcee...
Well, Neighborhood Watch may become Mutually Supporting Fields of Fire Watch.
“If I don’t shoot you, my neighbor will.”
Just flood it with bogus info and addresses and it will be worthless
Actually, that’s not a bad idea. Just flood the app with bad information and make it useless.
This app is a lawsuit just waiting to happen.
Buy the app so you can add every address. Trash their database with so many false positives that their results are meaningless. Don’t forget to list an armed pedophile at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue (note: I’m not claiming the drug-addled communist is an actual pedophile, I don’t know whether the skeet shooter prefers boys just over 18 or under age, just that it would be fun to contaminate this database with unsubstantiated accusations).
Buy it and start marking everything, everwhere.
Just like I mark Native American, Tribe Levi on all my official gubmint forms.
I think everyone should mark “black” on their forms.
Maybe they should have an app that shows where there are ladders fatal accidents with ladders are a lot more prevalent with ladders than with guns
Fascism in practice.
Meanwhile, we can’t get an APP that lets us avoid driving in high crime areas.
Bingo!
I agree. Use their own weapon against them. Input every liberal you know with false information.
I’d be willing to have my location reported, as long as they also included the following info:
1. A dieting, pre-menopausal CCW harpy lives at the location.
2. So do two grouchy teenage females (helpful hint: between the girls and their constantly visiting pals, someone is always PMSing at MY house)
3. Add in two stranger-hating 90lb+ German Shepherds
4. Did I forget to mention my teen son just got braces and is a member of the rifle team?
5. If you think my long-suffering hubby is weary of OUR antics, imagine his tolerance of someone dumb enough to cause trouble here. 6’4 and a big bag of cranky.
6. Everyone in the family (dogs excluded) is proficient with shovels.
Yep, add that info, and I have NO problem with being on “the List” :-)
Better yet, I think that every gun owner should get this app and put in information for every home that they can find - with the ultimate goal being to have every single home in the country listed, thereby making this an utterly useless app.
But let's start with the anti-gun pols, media types, snarky uber-liberals, etc.
Stalbaum [the author of the app] said.
I could have guessed that would be the guys name
Does that include members of the drug cartels who got guns from “Fast & Furious”...and does it include the weapons we are giving to Syria fighters without a background check???????????
