Catholic Priest Beheaded in Syria by Al-Qaeda-Linked Rebels as Men and Children Take Pictures and Cheer

Jun. 30, 2013 7:37am Sharona Schwartz

Syrian Catholic priest Francois Murad killed last weekend by jihadi fighters was beheaded, according to a report by Catholic Online which is linking to video purportedly showing the brutal murder.

As TheBlaze reported last week, Murad, 49, was setting up a monastery in Gassanieh, northern Syria. Last Sunday, on the Christian leader’s Sabbath, extremist militants trying to topple President Bashar Assad breached the monastery and grabbed Murad.

While earlier reports suggested Murad may have been shot to death, Catholic Online reported Saturday: “The Vatican is confirming the death by beheading of Franciscan Father, Francois Murad, who was martyred by Syrian jihadists on June 23.”

Travesty that we are arming these terrorists.
This is one of the most powerful indictments of Obama, that he is ARMING MUSLIM TERRORISTS.

Where are our guys on Capitol Hill? They should be screaming from the rooftops.

Are these the same Syrian rebels who Obama has decided to support? Does anyone know? I am beside myself with outrage and grief on this atrocity.

How ANYBODY can CONTINUE to believe that peaceful coexistence is possible in Europe or America with the savage followers of this sick and twisted cult is beyond me.

We need top stop letting them into the west and start removing those currently here by deportation.

Meanwhile, so-called American Muslims have to be tracked down, cornered and coerced in front of a live TV news crew and American Media in general to condemn these actions for what they really are.

A corrupt, evil religion founded on child molestation, oppression, violence, murder and deception.

And, in the case where they can be cornered, the only thing they can say is “Islam is a religion of peace; those radicals among us do not reflect us as a whole”......

Yeah, right....

Lawmakers Seek to Stop Obama Arming Terrorists in Syria
Written by Alex Newman

Lawmakers have now introduced bills in both houses of Congress aimed at restraining President Obama and his lawless intervention in Syria on behalf of jihadist rebels, many of whom are openly fighting under the banner of al-Qaeda while massacring Christians and other minorities. If the legislation becomes law, it would make any military action — including the ongoing provision of weapons and training to opposition forces by the administration — contingent on congressional approval.

Of course, the U.S. Constitution already grants war powers to Congress, stating that wars must be declared by lawmakers — not the president. Obama, however, like previous administrations, has a long track record of ignoring his oath of office in virtually every field. In Libya, for example, he even launched an unconstitutional war to overthrow dictator Moammar Gadhafi without so much as a semblance of permission from Congress.

While the U.S. government has been funding opposition forces in Syria since long before open warfare began, the president has stepped up that assistance, offering everything from training and money to military weapons. Obama’s “regime change” operation, backed by the highest echelons of the global establishment, recently culminated with a deeply unpopular announcement this month that the administration would be openly supplying arms and other military aid to rebel forces. Having U.S. troops set up a “no-fly zone” is also being considered.

For some members of Congress, enough is enough. Murmurs about impeaching Obama over his unlawful war scheming have even been popping up since last year on both sides of the aisle. Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.) even introduced a resolution stating that the president’s use of military force without congressional permission constitutes an impeachable offense. After the decision to openly arm rebel forces was announced earlier this month, though, lawmakers in both parties and in both houses of Congress are taking action.

In the Senate, a bipartisan coalition of four senators introduced a bill last week to make any administration involvement in the Syrian conflict contingent on congressional approval. Sponsored by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Sen. Tom Udall (D-N.M.), Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), and Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), the legislation would prohibit any military support for warring factions in Syria unless Congress specifically approves.

“The president’s unilateral decision to arm Syrian rebels is incredibly disturbing, considering what little we know about whom we are arming,” said Sen. Paul. The liberty-minded Republican with potential presidential aspirations, who recently blasted some of his Senate colleagues for voting to support weapons transfers to al-Qaeda allies, has been a leading critic of lawless foreign interventionism since his election.

“Engaging in yet another conflict in the Middle East with no vote or congressional oversight compounds the severity of this situation,” Paul continued. “The American people deserve real deliberation by their elected officials before we send arms to a region rife with extremists who seek to threaten the U.S. and her allies.” Sen. Lee, another leading proponent of liberty in Congress, expressed similar concerns.

More recently, Rep. Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) and Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) announced Tuesday the introduction of the “Congressional Accountability and Oversight in Syria Act,” a similar piece of legislation containing much of the same language. The goal, according to the two congressmen, is also to prohibit the administration from taking military action in Syria without explicit permission from Congress.

Beheading for a ‘Free’ Syria

Posted By Majid Rafizadeh On June 28, 2013 @ 12:35 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage

“Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar.” This chant, meaning “God is great” in Arabic, is repeatedly heard in this barbaric and savage video clip (below). Amidst a crowd of men standing on a small hill, while women and children watch behind, are three kneeling men – supposedly supporters of Assad’s regime – who are beheaded by a large knife. In the background, someone exclaims, “This is the punishment of the Shabiha.” Sabiha, a militia group, has been unleashed by Assad’s regime as a tool for cracking down and suppressing his opposition. After the gruesome beheading, in which one of the detached heads falls to the side, another rebel yells, “Place the head of that dog straight.” In Middle Eastern Muslim culture, calling someone a dog is considered a grave insult. The beheading by the Islamists, who appear to be imported from another country and are supposedly connected to the Jabhat Al-Nusra front, is a reference to Islamic Sharia law.

Sometimes I wonder why to care, at least on a general level. Is this the same Catholic church that supports illegal immigration, homos, and is likely comprised of a high %age of Obama supporters now whining about the jihad?

RIP Fr. Murad, blame for such a horrific death ultimately rests with do-gooder Americans, primarily Dem voters and most of whom could not even find your country on a map.

He is known as a God of Peace and slow to anger. None the less, one wonders when His cup of wrath will overflow?

In all things, His Will be done, but these hearts are now made of the same hardened stone that gave His Son his Cross.

Before His cup of Wrath has filled and spilled, I pray that He pour some from His soon overflowing cup on those who curse Him the loudest and upon those who open the gates and chase and scatter His flock and kill His shepards, that we, the lost who refuse to hear, may know first hand His reality through both His Love and His wrath, such that those with newly opened eyes and ears will then seek His Forgiveness and Mercy.

As much as people try to paint this as freedom-loving people trying to overthrow a dictator, it isn’t.

The rebels will be just as brutal, if not more so than Assad if they take control. It’s not the totalitarianism or brutality they are fighting against; it’s just that they want their own flavor of it.

Palin was right. Let Allah sort it out.

It’s interesting that this bill was bi-partisan and from people who would normally be considered arch-enemies.

Sadly, the Catholic Church in the USA seems more interested in creating sanctuary cities for illegals and amnesty in order to fill the pews and replace the lost thousands of parishioners due to the liberalization, PC stance of the Church.
