The human body needs fiber. Men particularly need it to lower the chances of rectal cancer. It will be interesting to see how this works for him long term. I personally love the taste of all sorts of different foods. I wouldn’t be satisfied with his choice.

From the linked Fox News story:

“I still eat, but I have not been to the grocery store, cooked, or cleaned a dish in months,” he said. “I enjoy my favorite foods a few times per week, mostly out with friends on the weekends, which is really all I crave.”

I'll be having a friend for dinner.

This actually makes perfect sense. Aside from the naming implications, although I’d argue most people don’t know or remember the Heston classic, this is as scientifically sound as you could get in the dietary sciences.

There are very specific amounts of vitamins, minerals, fats, and proteins that the human body requires to function. While carbohydrates are useful, they’re not specifically necessary for the body to function. You want SOME to prevent ketoacidosis, but once the body goes into lyposis, it burns fats exclusively with carbs providing a quick boost if necessary.

This follows the same sort of mindset as Atkins, Paleo, or glycemic diets but with the use of chemically-isolated components instead of reliance on bodily processes to break down everything. In reality, with the increased bioavailability due to component-based mixing, you’re likely to drop weight considerably and have more energy than you’d know what to do with. I’d be interested in trying these shakes. I bet it’s a nice change of pace and would be a perfect thing to have in a bug out bag or in your survival shelter in general.

My aunt took nutrition through a tube for some three decades, she made it to the age of 84.
I would think there are many medical conditions that rule out eating solid food.

Liquid meal replacements have been around for a long time. I remember back in the late 80s and 90s when Met-Rx was all the rage in fitness circles.

Ever think about how much of our time is spent thinking about shopping for cooking food? Cleaning up?

A better solution is NutriBullett. It’s better nutrition, because it actually uses fresh fruits and veggies .. and synthtic vitamins and minerals are not able to give your body the same results that fresh food can do; remember - pills are “supplements” to your diet .. and should never be the main part of your diet.

If you don’t want to waste time cooking .. this is ideal. But, they do show you how to make your own soups and sauces .. which are much healthier for you .. and they lack all that salt, sugar, and weird ingredients (fake coloring and flavoring, etc.).

So far, I’m saving about $40 per month on food; and I’m sure that savings will increase as I get more proficient in how I use the program.

The first exciting benefit was an great increase in energy.

I love fresh fruit and veggies, so this is just perfect for me.
