Former Florida governor Jeb Bush (R) argued Wednesday that the United States should pass immigration reform because the U.S. economy needs the labor of young immigrants, and immigrants are more fertile.
Immigrants create far more businesses than native-born Americans, Bush said at the Faith and Freedom Coalitions Road to the Majority conference. Immigrants are more fertile, and they love families, and they have more intact families, and they bring a younger population. Immigrants create an engine of economic prosperity.
Bush said immigrants are an advantage that the United States has over China, Europe and Japan, which dont have the same immigrant tradition and are struggling to find young laborers.
If we dont do it, we will be in decline, because the productivity of this country is dependent upon young people that are equipped to be able to work hard, Bush said.
Bush, whose wife is a Mexican-born immigrant, has long been an advocate for comprehensive immigration reform.

Uh, no.
So far we know illegals:
1. Procreate...alot
2. Will pay for border security.
What will #3 be? Carbon footprint is small because they transport “merchandise” from Mexico to and thru the US in an energy efficient way?
The bible say something about worshiping golden idols. If what we are is all about the money then screw this nation.
Jeb’s racism is dripping all over the place. HE had to really bite his tongue to not continue saying, “...not like those lazy blacks we have now.”
Sure. China has a dwindling population and can't find young laborers because they don't have enough immigrants. Then why have they restricted the number of children a family can have, Jeb?
And Jeb, do we have more jobs than there are people to fill them? I didn't know that. You should tell someone, because there are a lot of unemployed people out there who don't know about these jobs.
The Polar Bears protests.
Not unless he’s canned first.
Well, I agree with the “more fertile” part.
Fertilize this, Jeb!
NO SALE - go fertilize yourself, Jebster.
>>What will #3 be?
“Thank you Angelo Mozilo”
Thankyou Mr. Jeb Bush. That comment thankfully torpedoed any chance of POTUS run on your behalf.
With Bush, Christie, Romney, etc. can anyone tell me why ANY conservative is still a member of the Republican party and WHY we can’t get our own party going? It made me sick seeing all of the Romney supporters on here last election and I can just see it coming for ‘16.-—— “But we HAVE to vote for Christie or we will get Hillary”
There is a village somewhere that is missing it’s IDIOT!
That’s a good one Jebthro. We have someone in office who feels the same way you do only he’s inviting Radical Islamics in.
We have millions of blacks who are very fertile yet haven’t held a job in their entire life.
Let Detroit residents pick lettuce in Arizona..
The use of contraception does not indicate poor fertility on the user’s part, in fact it proves quite the opposite. Consider that using contraception in the first place necessarily means that one is trying to blunt their fertility purposely.
Just because Caucasians are not reproducing at the same rate doesn’t mean squat WRT their fertility, it just means they aren’t interested in reproducing at a higher rate.
Being taxed to death and treated like a draft horse might have something to do with it. Oh, and maybe a bleak future under despotic rule might just have a little to do with it also...
They’re only more fertile because many Americans have to either not have children or have small families. Also, 1.3 million women a year choose to abort their children. If immigrants did the same thing, they wouldn’t be any more fertile.
Jeb Bush has been out there a lot recently. I won’t be voting for him in the primaries in 2016, but if the establishment wants him, they’ll get him regardless.
By Jeb Bush’s standards, then homosexuals are undesireable because they do not reproduce?
Of all the speeches and utterances of the GOP, THIS is one of the dumbest on the planet.
You want to know what the politicos have to do to get us to pay attention to that awful immigration bill?
Hell yeah, I’LL WRITE IT FOR THEM.
Set up...press conference with Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell:
We understand your ire and refusal to address this issue. We promise to stop blaming you and calling you names, we know that all would be well in this country today had we (or whoever was in power at the time) secured our borders in the mid-80’s like we promised.
The nature of our government is the re-election of new people through the years. What one politician promised many years ago means nothing to a politician now serving.
We know this and we apologize to all the American people who we’ve accused of everything to jingoism to outright discrimination and hatred.
We will be instituting Town Halls across the country to hear your concerns, we are forming an independent commission to study the problem and return with suggestions, we are setting up web sites for your input.
As you know, we will NOT grand amnesty to anyone until our borders are secured, we heard your message, we get it.
Again, our regrets for casting aspersions to you folks who carry this country on your backs. We beg you to return to work, stop the work outages. We want you back and we know so very well that you law-abiding citizens work as hard as any lettuce-picker and we regret our assaults on your sincerity.
Thank you for supporting our bill”
Yeah, that’s the ticket.
