SAN JOSE, Calif. President Barack Obama on Friday encouraged the uninsured or those paying high prices for health insurance to sign up for coverage under his health care law and urged opponents to stop wasting time continuing to fighting its implementation.
Obama used a trip to California to highlight how the state is implementing the Affordable Care Act and rebut continuing criticism over his signature legislative achievement. He touted an effort in the state to recruit Hispanics in particular to the health care exchanges that are being created to help millions of now-uninsured consumers afford coverage.

That’s funny, but unlike you, this is where I’m drawing the line. Ridiculous to say they’ll kill you because you don’t buy their stupid insurance. Worst case, I’ll move to a state that will not enforce this monstrous beast. Happy sailing.
I went to the IRS website and only found info about healthcare taxes, then it dawned on me, they had put the origional info out about enforcement of the penalty before SCOTUS declared it a tax. Before I planned on just not having any return, now I’ll have to change my plans. I live in TX, and I think the way it is written that id you live in a State w/o exchange, they can’t charge you?
I wonder how many people are rather cavalier about this like myself. I teach on a foundation grant, and that pays for my insurance. The peasants can fend for themselves.
I’m a long way from caring about them and their sports addictions.
I was a non-filer for many years, and I’ve been round the horn with them. They got some, but not nearly all they claimed was owed. All in all it was not such an unfavorable experience for me, and now I file with zero owed each year. No withholding, no refund. No audits.
I pay an accountant quite a bit every year to escape with nowhere near the clearance you do.
I must be doing something wrong.
:)
Ping to this. Warchild is very snooty to newpappa and another guy
One good thing, though, is to be sure you type correct grammar, spelling and syntax before ripping others who make a typing mistake, but whatever!
However, your stereotyping the patriots here is kinda silly. Not everyone is pot-bellied, and not everyone is trying to be a macho man (I'm certainly not!).
Your jaded view is understandable. I struggle with being jaded, too.
You clearly don't care what FReepers think, though, so all I can say is, hopefully you have your own friends, because you won't likely find any here.
Flame on, buddy.
llegal aliens invade the USA for Welfare and Wages.
1.) End the Anchor Baby Law.
2.) End the Hospital Emergency Room No Payment Law.
3.) End ANY other Welfare to Aliens.
4.) Fine US employers $1,000 per day per employee who is an alien.
5.) Spend NO money on securing the border.
6.) Spend money on Chainlink/ Concertina wire desert prisons for repeat offenders who have invaded our Country.
7.) Transfer Border Invasion Enforcement to the US National Guard in each State, and US Coast Guard..
LOL! I have an account too...it is my Lord. I do His bidding. He, we, win...
...what more can I say?
I am just an old, retired Chemical Engineer. Not an account. Not a whiz at beating the beegeebers out of ANY three letter agency.
Some years ago, before I quit filing, I was audited. It turned out to be a full scale audit. I overwhelmed the auditor with spreadsheets and shoe boxes of data. Nothing could be found wrong with my return. I finally, after much wailing and nashing of teeth on the part of the IRS auditor’s superior, got a letter stating that my return was accepted as filed. Unheard of...they will do anything to avoid having to issue such a letter. Two years later I was audited again on a minor point. It was after that audit that I quit filing. Now I file, but to rub their noses in it.
The IRS is an EVIL, non-governmental agency, incorporated outside of the US, and a tool of the Fed and the foreign bankers that control the Fed. If everyone refused to bow to this EVIL three-letter agency, they would suddenly be totally powerless.
There is no "Hospital Emergency Room No Payment Law".
There is EMTALA, which requires EDs to stabilize patients before discharging them.
Without this, you have people dying in the hospital parking lot, like in third world countries. If that's what you want, I would suggest that's where you should be.
Congress enacted the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) [1] in 1986 to address the growing concern that hospitals were discharging patients before stabilizing them and refusing to care for poor people with medical emergencies.
This has nothing to do with payment for services after the fact. The hospital most certainly will pursue billing if the patient arrives with any sort of identification and a known address.
It’s called hit-and-run trolling, pal.
It’s a sport with old-timers like YT.
I save serious discussions for the military and historical threads. There’re some pretty sharp people over there, if a little wacky at times.
You’ve got more guts than I do, that’s all I can say.
I just look forward to the day when I have enough money so’s I pay no taxes at all.
Just proves that they are simply bullies,
and won’t pick on someone that once bloodied their noses.
To join........ active verb.
Action requires effort. What is required will be soon seen to be motivation. The motivation must be bought. To join you get a free toaster, or....... gold chain.
That’s it, when you join the health care exchange you get a shiny gold chain with a medal that has your number on it. To get healthcare you present your gold medal.
There is no reason for a young healthy person to sign up for Obamacare.
They don’t need the insurance, and the fine is much less than the premiums.
Plus in the event a young person does get a catastrophic illness, it does happen if rarely, then sign up. THEY HAVE TO TAKE YOU.

Ha, ha, ha, ha
Yep, they can’t deny a “pre-existing condition”.
Sign up when you need the insurance.
Leftists are flabbergasted when people act rationally in response to their attempts to control everything.
