Just heard from a poster at another website that there is an active shooter at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. One person already down. Breaking...
Sorry for the vanity post, but I thought folks might want to know.
Here’s a link in case you want to post another thread.
Thank you.
Another case of workplace violence?
ROP “workplace violence”?
From KSAT-12:
FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas -
A shooting has been reported at Fort Sam Houston, resulting the injury of at least one person.
Police scanner traffic indicates that a man shot another person in the dormitory area of Fort Sam, near the Binz-Engleman and Harry Wurzbach gates.
The suspect is reported to have fled in a gold vehicle.
There has been no official confirmation of the shooting by Fort Sam officials, but KSAT has a crew on the way to Fort Sam and hope to have an update on our First News at Four.
Tune in to our afternoon newscasts for the latest on this developing story and refresh this page for updates.
Appears to be true: http://www.foxsanantonio.com/newsroom/top_stories/videos/vid_15880.shtml
been 30 yrs since i was there- but ft sam was an open post (anyone could enter any time)
it was the only military post i was ever stationed at where i didn’t feel safe walking at night- fwiw
It’s Texas! Of course there’s shooters.
Same here. Was there in 1971.
As opposed to an unarmed shooter, I suppose that makes sense. We don't know yet if it's "workplace violence", it could be just some idiot.
Anyone in a gold (yellow, tan, etc) vehicle within about 500 miles has to have just a twinge of anxiety about now, and hopefully isn’t traveling with their dog.
Yet another rabid muslim?
“Police scanner traffic indicates that a man shot another person in the dormitory area of Fort Sam, near the Binz-Engleman and Harry Wurzbach gates. The suspect is reported to have fled in a gold vehicle.”
Sounds like a shooting, not an active shooter.
Could just be the first of many queer on queer domestic violence crimes.
Workplace violence?
It’s not open base anymore. You require a military id or pass to get in.
The area right outside the gate isn’t exactly the nicest part of San Antonio.
I was there 30 years ago, too. My husband was an instructor.
I’m so overwhelmed with scandals that my first thought is that this was a staged event to take up a little time on the TV news tonight, and that they won’t find the guy.
