Renee Montagne from NPR spoke with liberal columnist and author Glenn Greenwald, the reporter who co-wrote the stories for the British newspaper The Guardian, today on the massive data-mining scandal.
Greenwald dropped this bomb during the interview.
There are reported examples of the NSA, analysts at the NSA, using mechanisms they have access to. ABC reported several years ago through whistle blowers that they have used it to eavesdrop on people on whom they have personal grudges. There are isolated examples of the Patriot Act being abused. The problem is that the entire system operates behind a wall of extreme secrecy.
Heres Greenwald on NPR this morning:

But surely the Obama administration would not eavesdrop on political opponents.
Right?

How long til we found out WHO had the personal grudges against them, I wonder.........
In the back of my mind is : where did Axelrod get the data he used in the last election.? Can he use this data to create an absentee ballot?
I just love that phrase “isolated examples”,,,it just rings so
hollow
Just when you think the other shoe is about to drop, you realize...
Impeachable? No way, it’s arrestable, as in treason. These crimes - all of them - need arrests.
Whats to stop them from putting some thing on your computer so they can go after you ?
Or from editing, altering or otherwise manipulating your data? Or releasing it (oops!!!! we had another leak,,our bad!),,,
or selling to the highest bidder, person, company, group or country....
Obama is going down.Drip by drip. Not having his speech in front of him today was another drip. There are forces at work... (hope)

Don’t pass on the idea that this whole leak process is an opportunity to make the US weaker (than obvious).
It looks deceptively like some of the tactics used by the young school teacher in James Clavel’s “A Children’s Story.”
By raising the NSA (a very valuable plate in America’s armor)to extreme vitriol on the part of the populace, tearing it down could be easier. Not a good thing. No more a good thing than the Church hearings gutting our intelligence capabilities, or vilifying the CIA when failed programs are brought to light. They are NOT all bad, and even though there is a certain amount of hidebound redundancy and enormous feet of clay, these organizations still provide a valuable service that cannot be described or discussed (Intelligence work being what it is).

YMMV
I don’t get it...Are there people who thought this wasn’t going on?
Seriously?
Banana Republics don’t have 12 aircraft carriers, strategic bombers, missile submarines, intercontinental ballistic missiles, 15 Army divisions, 6 Marine divisions, a space program and thousands of fighter jets and drones.
In this age if wikileaks......
What if someone who is spying on Obama found out some plans of his, and wanted to show him who’s boss?
This one does.
Obama needs to go back to Kenya
