"The boy was questioned by the principal and a sheriff's deputy, who also wanted to search the family home without a warrant, Henkelman said. "He started asking me questions about if I have firearms, and [the deputy said] he's going to have to search my house. Search my house? I just wanted to know what happened."

And for that the Spanish Inquisition falls upon him and his family!

The Inquisition existed to root out heretics from within the Church. Your analogy is interesting.

In the Government School Religion, talking about guns constitutes heresy (at least), so the Government School Inquisition hauls before itself any heretic who opens his mouth.

Solution: leave the Government School Religion.

I know of no private school which would have engaged in this sort of tyranny, and homeschool is also an obvious solution.

I left MD over 20 years ago. Amazing to think that in the 70’s I carried a rifle through the halls of my high school there because the range was in the basement.

“I think the point is to demonize gun ownership with the younger generation. So that when they are adults they will choose not to be gun owners.”

It.Is.Not.Working

About 73% of our younger people have every intention of owning firearms. Video games appear to be the driver.

I have never known it to be so high.

True story.

An acquaintance of a close friend of mine had Maryland State investigators show up at his house, asking to see his gun collection to find out why he was buying ammunition for guns he did not have registered.

Lenin would be so proud.

Two months and counting for the escape velocity from Maryland for me and Mrs. Crusher.

I am starting to wonder if this ship can be righted without a fight. I hope and pray it can.

I think you and I both know that the answer is "no." The liberals long ago took over the educational establishment and they're not about to surrender it. They have the power to mold the next generations and they know it.

Maryland is a fascist state. Time for this family to pull up stakes and move.

Bus driver sounds like a complete assh*le to begin with...

Followed by the principle...

And the sheriff deputy for even bothering to respond to this.

I thought New Jersey was bad. Didn’t realize a Southern state like Maryland was just as bad.

Wouldn’t it be fun if like a thousand gunnies showed up at the next school board meeting .... Just show up and say “Gun...Gun...Gun” over and over again, maybe hold up some signs with “Gun” written on it.

Bring the kids, maybe some barbecue. Make a day of it.

Just sayin’...

I recall that a friend of mine and I in sixth grade used to conduct interplanetary wars during lunch hour with pencils and rulers on manila paper. We each drew our own picture, but would spar verbally about who had the upper hand in the depicted battle. To be honest, he was more creative than I was, and I would follow his lead for the most part. Of course, the ruler guided bullets were flying in these depictions, which seemed very realistic to us. The teacher surveyed all this with equanimity. She was very popular with the girls because of her proclivity for leading the class in singing popular songs such as TAMMY, which I remember in particular. She would let on that these singing sessions were some sort of daring clandestine activity. Nevertheless, she did allow us our space battles.

We did something similar in study halls. We would play war using pencil and paper where each side would have tanks, planes, foxholes, artillery, helicopters and so on. We would swish a pencil across the paper and if it hit anything, it was taken out. You can move as well using dashes as a path. Usually one player was the USA the other was usually the USSR or perhaps Iran, this was 1979/80 after all.

The plan is to condition all kids to go into hysterical paralysis at the very thought of a gun, it is a national brainwashing effort.

We had this conversation a very long time ago, didn’t we, my FRiend?

Yes, we did. All of the indicators were there if you were paying attention. Some folks laughed at that. Laughed at you, laughed at me. They're not laughing now, are they?

What was a distant thunder at that time has now become a looming monster of tornadic fury. God help us all.

Brother I get that very well... it’s Pavlovian conditioning - panic at the mere mention of it.

It only stops when they get a mass of people in their faces - so many showing up and confronting them that THEY conditioned to the idea that “if you F*** with us, we will f*** with you.”

MD started out being Southern Dem. Southerners couldn’t let go of the CW connection with Dems, even though the ship long sailed from what they were.

But as natives were finally starting to disengage from that loyalty, the DC poison spread big time, bringing in foreign Dems beholden to the central govt. They invaded MD more than VA because of the river, and MD retained DC - again, the CW changed that issue when VA took its portion back.

Basically a horrid succession of events happened to make this a commie haven.
