Police estimate that roughly 1,000 people attended a rally late Monday afternoon behind the Legislative Building. Hundreds later entered the building, with those intending to get arrested wearing green wrist bands.

NAACP protesting Welfare cuts? How is this advancement?
To: mandaladon; 3D-JOY
Did the DHS Police roll for this protest or do they only show up at the non-violent (Tea Party) ones?

And to think that the NAACP was started by (black and white) REPUBLICANS. In fact, the first president of the NAACP was a
WHITE Republican.

“demonstrations to protest cuts to social programs”
How DARE the Republicans cut welfare/foodstamps, social security and Medicaid. Other people worked hard for that money!

They are helping the community organizer by causing a distraction from his scandals. I think they are also there to intimidate. Conservatives are so angry, NOTHING will distract them and there stories are of interest to every person who has to “answer” to the IRS.

More like “National Association for the Advancement of Communist Precepts”, given what they are “protesting” over.

Yes, that works.
In the past I believe the NAACP did some good work. Today I think it’s an organization that basically lies to his constituents and fails to teach self-support and determination to succeed.
“If you’re not making it, then someone else is to blame”, seems to be the message today.
