(Newser) – The Boy Scouts of America's decision last month to allow gay members was made with the blessings of many churches and religious groups—but not all of them. And here's a pretty significant opponent: The Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant denomination in America with 45,000 congregations and 16 million members, says it will now urge its followers to leave the Scouts, reports CNN. The Boy Scouts says Baptist churches currently sponsor nearly 4,000 units, containing more than 100,000 kids.
The Southern Baptist Convention will vote on a resolution to disaffiliate with the Scouts this month, and a spokesperson says he expects 99% of people to vote in support of it. "Southern Baptists are going to be leaving the Boy Scouts en masse," he says.

The BSA is an organization that has, or ought to have had, no sexual component. While I happen to believe that homosexual acts are sinful (as opposed to one’e orientation, which probabaly can’t be controlled), the issue has no place in the Boy Scouts. It should not have been addressed, and left to leaders and sponsors to deal with, if and when necessary, meaning only if someone started acting on their impulses.

Already, for "geh pride" month, homos are dragging their new trophy carcass through the streets in their perversion parades as scouts and leaders defy the stated rules and wear the scout uniform IN these perverse celebrations. There will be NO consequences to them, and that will be construed as conquest to the queers.

They could have survived without sponsors. The administrative structures of these types of organizations just get addicted to the money and careers that spring up within them over time.
I was just listening to a guy named Kevin Swanson talking about that very thing.
His concept was more encompassing - they need to make sure there is no centralization of control. This always leads to mass corruption. Had this corruption occurred in on troop with no effect on others, people could move their boys to a different troop.
Kind of like the Republic - how it was intended to work.
The left knows, though, the inherent difficulties with corrupting and controlling a large number of small decentralized units, so that’s why you see, in everything they do, a movement to centralize power and get rid of local control.
This is what we’re seeing with the regulatory extermination of small businesses as well. Fascists/leftists know it’s easier to corrupt and control a few large companies than a bunch of small mom & pop businesses.
You should see some of the “coming out” stories in the lesbian literature. Many involve being helped to discover their proclivities at girl scout camp by adults.
