This has been confirmed by me with a phone call to the State offices five minutes ago. We did it! This will be a historic first. No Senator has ever been recalled in Colorado before. The completed Senator Morse recall petition is being filed with the Colorado Secretary Of State today. The recall of John Morse is moving on to the next phase. The mud will start to really fly now!
I am not an official spokesman for the group but I did confirm that the signatures are at the Secretary of State's Office now. The count will now be confirmed by the State. This will take two weeks.

He only won by about 300 votes. We only needed about 7500 to trigger a recall election. He had 14,000 votes in the election. 16,000 signatures were turned in today to recall him. Many more wanted to sign but were not in his district.

I spoke with my son in Golden this afternoon and he said he heard that Morse might resign.

I was one of those not in district, but I support that campaign completely.

I heard they got double the required signatures. Morse will be gone.

Yep: pro-life, pro-gun, pro-God, pro-military - that’s the 2013 Democrat party all right. :)

The first step to fixing a problem is admitting you have one.
This guy won his seat as a Democrat. Everyone who pays attention knows what Democrats in 2013 stand for.
In an era where the IRS is fixing elections, I don't think this guy is going to lose his re-election bid.
But if it makes you feel go to go through the motions, by all means do it....

You're outnumbered in Colorado.
The American left ruined California, now they're moving to Co.
You're outnumbered.
But even if you weren't outnumbered, this guy has the IRS on his side.
But I guess there is a reason Casinos and carnivals make so much money....

...I'm beginning to see why the Left is dragging us around by privates.
While you and your friends are sitting your asses being the smartest people in the room, the libs are running off with your government.
If I was a Democrat, I'd be peeing in your faces too...

Organizers of the recall committee, Recall Senator John Morse, said they submitted in excess of 16,000 signatures, far more than the 7,178 needed to force a recall election and more than the 13,866 votes received by the Colorado Springs Democrat in the 2010 election.
The Secretary of States office has 15 days to verify the signatures, but if the threshold is met, the governor would be charged with calling a special election or placing the recall on the November ballot.
A second recall effort aimed at state Sen. Angela Giron (D-Pueblo) has until Monday, June 10, to submit 11,285 signatures.

You are a Democrat, that is obvious. “Peeing in our faces”? Seems you are pissed off we are recalling your representatives. Why is that? Why so mad about it?

Ya. Californians moved to Colorado to get away from California politics. Kind of ironic.

Let's hope this one goes. The Secretary of State can be extremely technical in reviewing signatures.
Throwing this guy out would send a strong message to Hickenlooper, who has been wobbling left lately.
To: george76
16,000 signatures, far more than the 7,178 needed Morse is delusional if he thinks 9,000 signatures are invalid. LoL. "Good luck" with that Morse...Ha
