School-sponsored cross-dressing day at elementary school causes controversy (Milwaukee)

Last Friday’s cross-dressing day at a Milwaukee elementary school proved contentious.

The school-sponsored event was one of the theme days during school spirit week at Tippecanoe School for the Arts and Humanities. While the themes for each of the other days were sufficiently milquetoast, Gender Bender Day — as it was originally named — raised a few parental eyebrows.

Members of the school’s student council chose the transvestite theme, reports WITI-TV. The idea was straightforward: boys were encouraged to dress like girls and girls were encouraged to dress like boys.

Deidri Hernandez, the mother a second-grader at Tippecanoe, found out about the plan and complained to the principal, reports EAGnews.org. School officials allegedly responded by saying that the school’s actions were not illegal. At the same time, officials also opted to change the themed day’s name to “Switch It Up Day.”

“I didn’t have a problem with the title. I had a problem with the activity taking place,” Hernandez told EAGnews. In her view, the notion of sponsoring a cross-dressing day at a grade school is “ridiculous” and “creepy.”

“They might as well call it ‘Transgender Day,’” the irate mother opined.

Another parent told WITI that he doesn’t want his son to attend school dressed as a girl.

“I think it’s just teaching them the wrong lesson about gender,” father Sam Ward told the local FOX affiliate. “If you’re a boy, stay a boy.”

Yes... it used to be that an occasional boy might bumble into this kind of thing, but now there are folks spreading the cheerleading for it throughout society.

When I was a kid my old man threw a fit over me wanting to have a GI Joe with the Kung-Fu grip because it was a doll. Where are fathers today?

I have two teenage daughters and they know full well not to bring some faggoty boy home.

My girls used to be afraid of what I would do about some of their teachers, based on experience, but that is no longer a problem since one has graduated and the other is no longer in government school.

Sigh... I graduated in 1994 and we did this 2 twice a year, once leading up to Homecoming and once leading up to Courtwarming.
It is called “Dress as the opposite sex” day. We also had School Spirit day, Pajamas day, and various other themed days, thought up by the Cheerleaders or the Pom’s squad. Usually the football players wore the old Cheerleading uniforms, and the girls wore the football jerseys of the guys they were dating.
It’s all in fun and had nothing to do with being a tranny or not. I’m surprised they are still allowed to do it, because everyone laughed at how hilarious it was to see guys in dresses, as it was not something that should be done, or seen as anything other that something to laugh and poke fun at.

This societal subversion has been underway for 50+ years. You’re right; we aren’t going to solve it here. It’ll take some ‘intervention’ much larger than us.

cheerleading is bad enough, but to me this is state sponsored promotion/proselytizing of faggotry

That one mother said when she found out she was “speechless”. Why? Is she that naive? The leftist fascists have been running education for the past umpteen years, where has she been? Absolutely nothing surprises me by what they do in these leftist indoctrination centers nowadays.

And yet it needs to begin at ourselves too. Society is turning into a monster. The word “monster” derives from the same origin as “demonstrate.” Monsters demonstrate something gone badly wrong. God is warning us, get closer to Him lest we become monsters too.

I think we agree; it’s substantially synonymous, with Obama and Democrat pals being some of the chief cheerleaders. You can see the slick one they are pulling by their assertion that “this is the trend of history.” As if it was not being, at the least, accelerated by their help.

Theologically and technically the subversion began in the garden called Eden.

Yes, but let one person complain about Christmas or Easter anything and the school hurries to tear everything apart.

Ask for an Easter or Christmas something where the something is perverted, and I bet they’d say yes!

I agree. The girl won’t lose, or will in most instances regain her femininity. The guy will never regain his masculinity.

If you watch the video, it's basically only the teachers that participated in this nonsense. The vast majority of the students (elementary school!) dressed as they normally would, showing a level of maturity that the faculty could take lessons from.

On the subject of dressing for school, they should just go back to uniforms for all public schools. That way everybody's on equal footing and parents don't have to purchase overpriced clothing at trendy mall shops just so that their children don't become social outcasts. The boys wear shirt and tie and the girls wear dresses or skirts. End of story. As Mr. Hand would put it, they can dress the way they want on their own time.

More outrageous and egregious examples from Chris Plante’s Friday 5/31 Morning Show, WMAL Podcast:

Pop-tart, cap guns, gun talk etc crap in schools... worth a listen.
