The Illinois Ag Dept. illegally seized privately owned bees from renowned naturalist, Terrence Ingram, without providing him with a search warrant and before the court hearing on the matter, reports Prairie Advocate News.

Behind the obvious violations of his Constitutional rights is Monsanto. Ingram was researching Roundup’s effects on bees, which he’s raised for 58 years. “They ruined 15 years of my research,” he told Prairie Advocate, by stealing most of hisstock.

Growing up on the lower east side of Manhattan left me with little appreciation for herbicides.

Prove that it’s a witch hunt. And while you’re at it, prove that I am anti-corporation.

The fact is Monsanto has produced seeds that do not reproduce, they sue & destroy small family farms, they have had sweeping legisation passed in their favor, and there are very serious questions about the safety of their product that they refuse to answer.

To say that I’M anti-corporation is ridiculous. I am anti-cronyism and pro-free market, not to mention pro-life.

“Too Big to Fail” = monopolism = fascism. It’s that simple.

Huh? You're here blaming Monsanto for bee colony collapse when anyone with any understanding of the scientific evidence knows that it's total BS. There is no evidence that Monsanto has anything to do with this phenomenon, while the legitimate scientific evidence points to to a virus spread by a parasitic mite called the Varroa.

But never let scientific evidence get in the way of your mindless ranting against one of the most successful American corporations. You are in good company with EU regulators who like to ban things without evidence. The EC couldn't agree on this ban so one guy (Tonnio Borg) made the decision, by edict, to ban neonicotinoids. He's an idiot, like Mayor Bloomberg, but you seem to like people who engage in this kind of activity. Those big gulps are truly dangerous, after all. Even the the British Beekeepers Association is against this action, and has stated that Borg is an idiot, and that neonicotinoids are not the problem.

Monsanto produces seeds that farmers willingly purchase in huge quantities. Do you really believe they do this because there is a gun to their head, and that by choosing Monsanto seeds they are not acting in their best interests? You don't know a thing about basic farming or biotechnology, but here you are condemning a company that specializes in it. If you steal Monsanto technology, they are going to come after you. Monsanto is no different than any other company with intellectual property. There is no scientific evidence that the products they sell are harmful in any way. To believe otherwise is the worst kind of chemicalphobia and alarmism. Do you chant "food for people, not for profit," when marching with those occupy folks?

That's great that you are pro-life. However, you are clearly anti-corporate, and I offer your support of the witch hunt against Monsanto as evidence.

bees are fine. I don’t mind them. they actually don’t bother me and I don’t bother them, they provide a benefit.

It’s the repeat stingers that try to build nests in/on my garage, or house, that I have issues with.

Monsanto needs to be sued into the fires of Hell!

This is a rare case where nationalisation would be in order.

What a vile, disgusting company. Corporations get a bad name because of monsters like Monsanto.

You are woefully uninformed.

One of the most successful American corporations?? I hardly call squelching the free market, bullying the competition, and crony capitalism successsful. If they were truly successful, then they’d let their product speak for itself in an open & free market.

“Do you really believe they do this because there is a gun to their head, and that by choosing Monsanto seeds they are not acting in their best interests?”

Yes, I do.

*I don’t see why there’s a single Illinois resident who, if they are in a position to do so, is not planning to flee the state.*

They are fleeing the state and coming to my state. I don't want them voting the way they usually do and ruining our state like they did with Illinois. After ours is ruined, they'll go ruin another state with Socialism and scratch their heads and say, “Wha’ happen?” until every state is like Illinois.

They will, of course, blame George Bush.

You think farmers choose Monsanto seeds because they don't deliver a better yield, a more consistent product, and a product that consumers demand? It's also no wonder you're an anti-capitalist. You don't know the first thing about how markets work. Now I understand why you rant mindlessly about markets. People fear things they don't understand. The dollar vote has validated Monsanto products. Only an idiot would deny that fact.

Let's summarize....you know nothing about The Farmer Assurance Provision, biotechnology, farming, markets, Monsanto, and Monsanto's competition. But here you are pretending like you do. You need to find something else to do rather than offering opinions about subjects you know absolutely nothing about. Maybe you should be reading something other than Food Democracy Now and HuffPost.

“In the meantime, wonder what justification the Democratic Socialist Worker’s paradise of Illinois has for this action?”

With one of their kind in the White Hut, the EVIL PONS from Kenya, they don’t need no justification...

So you know the cause of the bee colony collapse so much better than the US Dept of Ag or the EU?

I call it a leftist witchhunt because they are the ones leading the charge. The Occupiers organized the anti-Monsanto marches. Bernie Sanders the socialist and his democrat buddies are trying to pass anti-Monsanto legislation. The closest you can get to a conservative in this movement is Alex Jones, which is not close at all.

I have not read the leftist publications that you cite. Nor to I claim to be an expert on farming, biotechnology, or agriculture, but I have read enough about Monsanto & GMOs as well as the very powerful lobby associated with both to consider myself reasonably informed. This is a complex issue that is multi-faceted. Not only are there health & environmental concerns/questions tied to GM crops, but the Monsanto Protection Act as well as various lawsuits launched by Monsanto against small farms is too large to ignore.

You seem just fine without asking questions regarding these things and with attempting to discredit my conservatism. Do you think for yourself or just drink the Monsanto propagandist Kool-Aid?

Stock up on non-hybrid, ‘heirloom’ seeds that grow plants that produce seeds! Eventually, they’ll be hard to find.
