Monsanto is hosting a "Bee Summit." Bayer AG is breaking ground on a "Bee Care Center." And Sygenta AG is funding grants for research into the accelerating demise of honeybees in the United States, where the insects pollinate fruits and vegetables that make up roughly a quarter of the American diet.
The agrichemical companies are taking these initiatives at a time when their best-selling pesticides are under fire from environmental and food activists who say the chemicals are killing off millions of bees.
..
Die-offs of bee populations have accelerated over the last few years to a rate the U.S. government calls unsustainable. Honeybees pollinate plants that produce roughly 25 percent of the foods Americans consume, including apples, almonds, watermelons and beans, according to government reports.

Monsanto pretending they do not know the results of their actions. One can only hope that there is a fearless group of documentarians at work to expose their criminal and politically-protected behavior.

Hmm..are those killer bees, Africanized bees, GM bees or regular bees?
They made sure that their hives were always healthy. They never reduced their hives to subsistence levels bordering them on survival.
They made sure that the bees were inoculated for the mites that can infest hives.
These particular bee-keepers that I talked to had very little of the bee collapse syndrome. Maybe too many keepers don't take care of their livestock like they should.
Just my humble observation with those in the business.
Well, obviously the solution is to have everyone buy and/or pay royalties to Monsanto to use their “roundup ready” bees.
See post 7.
some of this ‘bee die off’ may be green hype.... the first time this was reported as a die off was in 1867......And a recent discovery was that bee keepers using corn syrup as feed was the cause of recent problems...so take it with a grain of ...honey....
Another article on death of bees and Monsanta - corn seed coated with neonicotinoids. Monsanta will hold a meeting.
Read the article. Enormous death of bees 2012-2013.
Monsanto should be able to whip up some genetic mods for the Bees.
Hmm..are those killer bees, Africanized bees, GM bees or regular bees?
Genetically engineer the things to reproduce like flies, lack stingers and smell like vanilla candles.....
A little CYA research goes a long way with the sheeple. Don’t expect any ground-breaking info to come out of it.
Just exactly what “actions” of Monsanto are you referring to?
What if they did? It was developed in the 1920s as a pesticide. The chemoical is still produced for the purpose in the Czech Republic under the name “Uragan D2” (Czech “uragan:”, like German “zyklon”, is “cyclone” in English).
The fact that it was used as a tool for murder— even with the producers’ knowledge— does not render the present companies culpable in the Holocaust.
That’s like holding Exxon-Mobil to blame for arsons and murders using gasoline.
Google Monsanto Protection Act.
I take it you don’t know the answer.
