A recent military report on sexual assault in the military shocked many in Washington and around the nation, but a leading expert on military personnel revealed the prevalence of men assaulting other men is one of the major headlines in this study.
The extended analysis of the report first appeared in Mondays edition of the the Washington Times.
The Defense Department survey of sexual assault in the military during fiscal 2012 estimated 26,000 assaults took place in the armed forces. Nearly 3,000 of them were formally reported. Just more than 6 percent of women reported being victims of assault and 1.2 percent of men said the same. Given the much larger number of men in the military, those numbers suggest 14,000 of the assaults in the Pentagon study happened to men.
Among the assaults formally reported, 88 percent of reports came from women and 12 percent from men. The numbers are getting dramatically worse.

On my last tour, I worked at HQMC on a joint incident-based reporting system... DoD was ferverently trying to get a handle on domestic violence incidents... dirty little secret was according to FBI stats and local law enforcement stats for off base incidents, the female on female and male on male domestic were occurring at a much higher rate than hetero couples...

Did other people catch this?

So 14,000 assaults were man on man, and 12,000 assaults were assaults on women. And yet this situation has been reported for months now, and this is the first time I found out that more men had been assaulted by men, than women had been assaulted by men.
When they first started the open homosexually effort in the military, I said I was not in favor of it. Some jackasses asked me what I had to fear about homos being billeted with straights. Well, there's your answer folks.

I don’t know what they expected. I remember a time when the biggest scutt job was guarding the ‘Special’ barracks housing them until they were discharged.

I wouldn’t know, but I know lots of men who had to stop by the clinic afterward.

This used to be an automatic General Court martial and the accused would get an immediate guilty verdict and a sani - flush.
