A recent military report on sexual assault in the military shocked many in Washington and around the nation, but a leading expert on military personnel revealed the prevalence of men assaulting other men is one of the major headlines in this study.
The extended analysis of the report first appeared in Mondays edition of the the Washington Times.
The Defense Department survey of sexual assault in the military during fiscal 2012 estimated 26,000 assaults took place in the armed forces. Nearly 3,000 of them were formally reported. Just more than 6 percent of women reported being victims of assault and 1.2 percent of men said the same. Given the much larger number of men in the military, those numbers suggest 14,000 of the assaults in the Pentagon study happened to men.
Among the assaults formally reported, 88 percent of reports came from women and 12 percent from men. The numbers are getting dramatically worse.

Get the queers the hell out of the military.
the secret is that this has been the biggest problem for decades. men just didn’t report it.
most still don’t.
Before they were laughed at. Now they are charged with hate crimes.
No problem. Just a lesser evil here too. /s
Lots of those lately.
And right after don’t ask, don’t tell was repealed.
Who could have foreseen that?
OK I’ll say it...
UNEXPECTED!!!!
US Armed Forces no longer a safe place for Americans.
OK Ill say it...
UNEXPECTED!!!!
Not really. Have you ever read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah?
An enterprising reporter would interview many of the soldiers who are getting or recently got out. And ask why.
Americans would not like the answers they give.
Everything that happens under Obama is Unexpected. Did you not get the memo?
Monty Python was ahead of their time.
“Everything that happens under Obama is Unexpected. Did you not get the memo?”
Not if it’s good news
True. Then it’s “Historic!”
What a surprise.
>> this has been the biggest problem for decades. men just didnt report it.
I don’t know how many decades you’re talking about; I do know that when I was in the service (late 1970s), anyone who tried a forcible homo assault would have been deprived of his crank and doodads within minutes, by the victim’s buddies if not by the victim himself.
And THEN there would have been hell to pay for the perp at the hands of a military court.
We didn’t tolerate that crap.
How FAR we have fallen.
"Now, any of you homos touch me, and I'll kill you."
Homosexuals in the military - what could possibly go wrong?/s
Once, while in the Corps, and on mess duty awaiting a 35+ weeks of electronics schools instruction to begin, I had a fellow make a rude suggestion while holding a cucumber. I went to the chief cook, a senior NCO and related the situation saying I would not return to work with the Marine in question. The Man was relieved from Mess duty and I never saw him again in any of my various schools. L believe he was bounced from the Corps. Probably wouldn’t happen in today’s PC environment.
If you ask me gays, those sad individuals, do not belong in the military in any capacity.
bout the last two decades.
Now lets see what has changed since I was in the military back in 1966-1969.
Men can’t solicit prostitutes or chase women as they did back then, so the military then sends women to work along side with the men in combat. It’s like parading ice cream in front of kids and saying “Do not touch!”
Then they bring in the homos, put them in a position of authority and what did they expect!
I expect we will see quite a few “friendly fire” and “lost at sea” reports in the future.
When I was in, each year we were read the riot act on homosexuality and signed an afidavit we had the lecture. Homos were also immediately given the heav-ho out of the military.
Those who dispised the homos were not the religious people but those from a non-religious blue collar background.
