Tornado warnings up in Oklahoma. Watches in TX, OK, KS, MO, far NW Arkansas.
Just interviewed on Channel 9 - Briarwood school kids (not Plaza Towers) were rescued and gathered as they came out and taken by a woman and teachers to a home away from the area. They started a list that had 70 and now are down to 4 children unaccounted plus one set of parents. Americans taking charge in absence of government.
Heehee!
TMI!!! :)

Several years ago, I was driving my little Saturn back from Fredericksburg to Fort Worth when a storm whipped up and caught me on I-35 (back before I learned about 287). I heard a couple of hailstones ping off my hood/roof and stopped under the next overpass where I spent the next several minutes hiding in the base of the girders with some other folks, until the worst of it passed. Guess we were lucky it didn’t reach tornado level. Otherwise, I can’t really think of where else we could have gone, because it sure was flat as all get out around there.
Well there’s another thread complaining no help from FEMA yet.
I posted if I was in OK, I’d be happy if FEMA stayed in Wash DC.
KFOR reporting no survivors inside the school - 2 dozen fatalities. Emergency workers saying no longer search and rescue, now a recovery operation. :(
no longer a search and rescue mission at one of the schools, getting ready to pull up to 2 dozens bodies out
Oh no - just now they said at Plaza Towers they have located 2 dozen bodies of children at the school. Like I said - a sad photo of the lonely backpacks hanging on their hooks on the wall.
I put a pair of pants in here next to the computers just in case. ;)

You could become famous. This damn tornado sucked the pants right off’n me.
Oh crap - Channel 4 reporter breaks down while saying they have located two dozen deceased children at Plaza Towers under debris and have moved everyone back while they prepare to bring them out. Also other deaths in the neighborhood.
Maybe 2 dozen children...it’s search and recovery of their bodies. God rest their souls.
A concrete and steel overpass ain’t going nowhere. Can there be a wind tunnel effect? Yes. Is there anyplace else to go? Most often not.
To clarify - survivors were pulled out from Plaza Towers earlier, but there are no more remaining in the wreckage of that school.
Now hearing that maybe 2 dozen children are dead. My heart breaks for the families.
I hope that the number of 75 is down to the ~24 though. The helicopter guy said that when he first got there he saw lots of kids running from the school after it hit.
Prayers for all of those killed and hurt and their families, and the rest as they have lost everything.
How did Climate Change Channel get Cantore and Bettes in there on the ground so quick? Air drop?
