CNN has obtained an e-mail sent by a top aide to President Barack Obama about White House reaction to the deadly attack last September 11 on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, that apparently differs from how sources characterized it to two different media organizations.
The actual e-mail from then-Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes appears to show that whomever leaked it did so in a way that made it appear that the White House was primarily concerned with the State Department's desire to remove references and warnings about specific terrorist groups so as to not bring criticism to the department.

Carney kinda flailed around about altered emails. Need to see what was said on the live thread. My memory is that it referred to wrongly attributing something to Hillary whose sig is automatically added to certain communications even some she does not personally see.

Nothing contradicts the fact that top 0bambi admin. officials kept pushing the B.S. video story. And nothing absolves the CiC from gross negligence at the very least.

What do the talking points have to do with leaving thirty people to die? What do the talking points have to do with lying about a video? What do the talking points on Benghazi have to do with the IRS scandal or the AP scandal?
Answer...NOTHING!
If someone in the GOP altered those emails, that will make people reject ANYTHING the GOP says. Thats why it matters. When Tapper says something like this I begin to worry.
The talking points have been a wild goose chase, the “safe” conversation between the press and WH. They did not cause the death of four Americans. They didnt explain why after repeated requests for more security, there was less. They had nothing to do with why forces were told to stand down. They do not disclose what actions the president did or didn’t take that night. They have been a trap.
