For all their bluster, the Chinese PLA Army, Navy, and Air Force are WAY inferior in quality, reach, and strength than the Japanese "Self Defence" Forces, and they know it. That aside, Japan is also under the protection of the US nuclear umbrella.

As I recall General Lemay and the Pacific Army Air Force permanently erased all those old claims to Okinawa quite some time ago. Once it gets used as a weapon and American lives get used to destroy it NOBODY else owns it. I’ve seen this develop in the Asian news in past months and it’s all contrived to keep the far east pot stirred.
