U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice will be honored Tuesday night with the 2013 Louis E. Martin Great American Award.
The annual award, presented by The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, is given to “an exemplar of change, progress and coalition-building across racial lines,” according to a press release.
Specifically, the organization is honoring Rice for ”her work in advancing U.S. interests, strengthening the worlds common security and prosperity, and promoting respect for human rights,” another press release states.
The evening gala and awards ceremony at which Vice President Joe Biden will speak comes a day before high-ranking state department officials testify at a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on the terrorist attack that took place at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi last year. The witnesses, who Oversight chair Darrell Issa (R-Calf.) is calling “whistleblowers,” are expected to contradict parts of the Obama administration’s narrative about the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks.
Specifically, some of the remarks Rice made on the Sunday morning news shows a few days after the incident will be called into question. During her interview with FOX News Sunday, Rice stated the attacks were a spontaneous reaction to what had just transpired in Cairo as a consequence of the video” a statement that was quickly proven false.
While Rice admittedly was the Obama administration’s fall guy on Benghazi a situation that ultimately cost her a bid for Secretary of State the award still seems ill-considered. But then again, according to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, the Benghazi attacks “happened a long time ago.” Perhaps The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies has forgotten about Rice’s role in skewing the narrative.
The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies had not responded to a request for comment at the time this article was published.
Where is the eagle soaring to?

Tilted Irish Kilt ~:” experts that develop bold policy ideas and recommendations on todays emerging issues.”
Yes !
Benghazi was definitely a “ .. bold policy ideas and recommendations on todays emerging issues.”
Despite the fact that it was a lie !
But don’t let the facts get in the way of an agenda !
As Cleavon Little might say, “Where da white folks at?”
With the exception of one white Jewish woman, this is basically a “black” organization, and always has been.
Check out its origins and affiliations.
Now, there is nothing wrong with this being a black-oriented organization but one needs to know that it was set up basically to focus on “black issues and projects”.
That said, they really messed up big time by choosing Rice.
Now 2013 - UN Ambassador Susan Rice...
Notice a couple of shared characteristics?
Good God...shouldn’t all these LIB-idiots be in prison?
She did a bag-up job overseeing security for certain African embassies under Clinton in the 90s. Literally..

What a crock....
In other news, the administration has tapped Daffy Duck to be the President’s next National Security Adviser.
Somebody already mentioned the Marx Brothers. At least THEY were honestly funny.. This ISN'T.
Close, but no cigar.
Ambassador Susan Rice top contender to become next national security adviser
Oh, so it’s a communist award?
She has passed the only 2 criteria needed for lying liberals, she is black and a woman. That’s all you need today!
It is affirmative action on steroids.
Thanks to affirmative action, it is impossible to tell if a woman or person of color is qualified.
All their screw ups tells me they are not ready for prime time.
