Would you support Sarah Palin should she decide to run for the presidency in 2016?

Let's see. How does she compare to my litmus checks:

What's not to like?

Oh, yeah. That thing about not reading newspapers and also seeing Russia from her house. That's just too dumb to be true. /s

Well, but she did resign from her office, so I guess that's one thing not to like. But they all have at least one thing not to like. How does she compare on all the major conservative issues?

And the left absolutely hates her.

And Tokyo Rove and the GOP-e absolutely despises her.

But tea party conservatives like her. A lot!

And so do I.

How about you?

Are you ready to turn this country around with an honest to God pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, God-loving, America-loving patriot and grassroots conservative favorite who we can all be proud of and for whom we will work overtime for a change?

You are missing the point here. First of we have, just within the Republican and Democrat umbrellas, well over 100 independent political parties.

They can function even without a RNC or a DNC. We have a number of other 'wannabe' parties that are too small to win elections ~ but they do hold conventions, know how that sort of thing works, and otherwise many of them engage in regular Republican or Democrat party machinery events.

The only thing we need to discard are STATES that don't give us the votes we need to win ~ you toss them and their RNC delegates on the street.

You can do this clean and simple with a decapitation ~ you first create a new RNC, invite delegates from state parties you want, and don't let the other guys in. You can prohibit individuals who are dangerous to winning ~ e.g. most of the McCain campaign professions, and all of Romneys.

That's pretty much how the Republican party got its start on the ruins of the Whigs ~ and the reality of the Abolitionists.

You are missing the problem. A decap leaves the core elements of the gop fighting you from day 1. 2 3 4 5 6 7 89012345678 until they sabotage you completely or you hit year 4 and lose the reelection.

And you still have to explain how 300,000,000 be reprogrammed from decades of “Republicans hate XXXX people.

A palin type exists in which of the 100 current indy parties? What do you think happens if someone who can drive a 5 day news cycle with a single facebook post decides to create one of her own?

I mean AFTER half the GOP changes their voter registration cards day 1.

“This has to be nailed down or we will put a candidate into the Presidency...”

It has been nailed down, but uninformed people just keep bringing it up. Any question about McCain was smoke and mirrors as his dad was there on military duty but it wouldn't have made any difference as his parents were Americans and that made him an American citizen the minute he was born.

Look at it this way for clarity - consider it heredity. If the mom is an American, she transfers her American citizenship by heredity to the child when he is born. If the father was an American, the child would inherit his American citizenship from him.

The purpose of our forefathers was to prevent an Englishman born and raised in England with his allegiance to England, coming to American and running for president with no allegiance to this country. It would be the same for anyone from a foreign country who had been born in that country and had allegiance to that country, coming here and running for president with no allegiance to this country. A Chinese man born in China, has an allegiance to China and cannot come here and run for president since he has no allegiance to this country.

Cruz was an American when he was born, and from the start, had no allegiance to another country.

This argument will go on a million times on FR due to misinformation.

Let's consider Cruz's father was from Cuba. Did our baby Cruz become a Cuban? No, he was registered at birth as an American from an American mother.

How did you get your citizenship? You were a new piece of humanity. The hospital had birth forms and your parents completed those forms listing you as an American citizen. These forms were sent to the state and the state sent an official birth certificate to your parents. The point is, getting a birth certificate is not magic. At the minute of your birth, a piece of paper does not float down to the delivery room where you are. Your parents must register the birth.

If one parent is French and one parent is Italian, they make a choice as to which you are or they register you as both. If that's the situation and you are born in Germany, they also have a choice to register you as a German. You could have triple citizenship.

My grandson has an American father and an English mother. On the day he was born in England, he was registered as an American citizen and issued an American passport. He was also registered as an English citizen. He wants to come to this country for his college years and he can do that with no problem since he is an American citizen. When he comes here now and lands at the airport, he gets in the American citizen line, not the foreign country line.

Palin starting a party would be like Anderson ~ or Perot - or Jefferson Davis ~ or

We can go on and on. There have been other parties started but you gotta' win to get in the game. Ideas are one thing, but mechanics get you the wins ~ and not the stupid mechanics you had working for Romney or McCain. 10 years after TV died, and 50 years after LBJ proved, one more time, that you win by acquiring more voters ~ these guys were looking for 'an undecided 10% in the middle'.

There's no undecided; there's no 10%; there's no middle. There's only your votes and their votes, and the more votes you get lined up long before the candidates are even chosen, the more likely you are to win!

Losing the current crop of party professionals and the candidates who dote on them WILL NOT HURT US. We know them by name; decapitation is the only way. Preibus and his running dog lackeys must be dumped now!

BTW, Palin and anybody else running has to be put on notice in the most forceful way that any candidate who puts the interests of FOREIGNERS FIRST or OVER AND ABOVE the interests of AMERICANS will be severed from the party.

That means they gotta' get right with God on this Dream cr*p and instate tuition for illegals ~ God doesn't favor giving American money to Mexican kids while you don't also make that money available to American kids. I have that on His highest authority.

Any candidate who's been out there employing illegals has to be severed. Candidates who take money from such employers must be severed.

This is probably going to take kicking the Bush family out of the party ~ they won't like it but where will they go?

I gather you probably still believe that we need to get Democrat votes to win ~ particularly since the parties are, in general, very evenly matched. Actually we don't. That 90 million cohort of non voting adults is where you get the extra votes. Then you don't have to kiss Democrat and DNC-owned-press b***ts to win elections. Doesn't mean you need to tell Democrats you don't want their votes, but you don't actually need them!

I like Sarah Palin. I would support her if she wins the Republican nomination. However, I like Rand Paul better. I will support him as long as he is in the race.

You just spent all that text reinforcing why your plan is a waste of time, money and end energy. And not a chance do I think we need want whatever dem votes.

Cut this, sever that. How about walking in the door with a clean slate and saying ‘here’s the deal AMERICA, You can keep voting for the party abandooning you or get on board with us. Since we already say what palin has for crowd drawing capacity when people THINK she will run, what happens if she does? With nothing to hold her back like the dead weight you recommend?

And the states? Goin or not. Companies? Join or not. You think the GOP can out a person againster as a populist? You think the big money will go to them facing an absolute PR nightmare trying to out conservative her? After all their calls for moderation?

You keep talking about votes winning. After November and all the well publicized sellouts you think the GOP is going to get votes? From who? She splits the DEM vote between the nutcases voting Stalin and the less insane who fear her more than the GOP liberal...and thus vote for the GOP lib rather than going further left than many of them are already comfortable being.

We just have to disagree Mu. Each of us thinks the other is way wrong.

He's is not qualified under the Constitution to become president. That's it. Are you one who wants to change The Constitution on your whims? Do you see the result of citizens not following it? The worst president in USA history - his allegiance is not to America. Cruz is out and if he's runs he's just a fraud like barry.

There is no 'clean slate' either ~ not in politics. The people don't just walk away from what they've been spending a lifetime doing, and folks who've never participated don't jump up smart, fresh and ready to run a large organization on a multi-state basis.

The Federalists believed that intelligent men of income and property would select good men to be officers of state.

Thomas Jefferson added things up and said "all you have to do is win elections" and figured out how to do that ~ he wiped the political slate clear of the Federalists! That never happened again. The Democratic Republicans or Republican Democrats, as he titled it, dominated American politics until a group called the Whigs figured out how to compete!

What you need to do is CUT the GOP-e out of the party. They've learned nothing and forgotten nothing! That's why they keep making the same fundamental errors over and over.
