Poll: 29% of Registered Voters Believe Armed Revolution Might Be Necessary in Next Few Years May 2, 2013 By Gregory Gwyn-Williams, Jr. Subscribe to Gregory Gwyn-Williams, Jr. RSS

Twenty-nine percent of registered voters think that an armed revolution might be necessary in the next few years in order to protect liberties, according to a Public Mind poll by Fairleigh Dickinson University.

The poll, which surveyed 863 registered voters and had a margin of error of +/-3.4, focused on both gun control and the possibility of a need for an armed revolution in the United States to protect.

The survey asked whether respondents agreed, disagreed, neither agreed nor disagreed or did not know or refused respond to the statement: "In the next few years, an armed revolution might be necessary in order to protect our liberties"

Twenty-nine percent said they agreed, 47 percent said they disagreed, 18 percent said they neither agreed nor disagreed, 5 percent said they were unsure, and 1 percent refused to respond.

Better to play it close to the vest and keep your intentions within the ranks - don’t announce your plans to the enemy ahead of time - that just smacks a bit of braggadocio - and gives the enemy ‘first shot’

“Better to play it close to the vest and keep your intentions within the ranks..”

Announcing your strength is not revealing intentions. Patriots - and the enemy - need to know that one-third of the American population support them. It will create grief, uncertainty and rumblings in the enemy ranks. Basic Sun Tzu 101.

Not surprisingly by party

• 18 percent of Democrats
• 27 percent of Independents
• 44 percent of Republicans

I know many of the 18% of Democrats, the sad part is they want an armed revolution because they feel the government isn't giving them enough free stuff.

“How do you think the Founding Fathers would have chosen?”

If I recall, they would advise “do not to shoot until you see the whites of their eyes.”

In short, don’t be goaded into a premature fight on their terms. Don’t talk smack. Just wait and be ready for the right time.

Especially those on the extreme far left, which are the same kooks that “protested” on Wednesday in Seattle and were justifiable arrested by the police

Thanks to the always observant Duncan for the HT. This article clearly merits a CWII Ping List Ping!

About the CWII Ping List

The CWII Ping List is short for Civil War II. It is NOT a list of people advocating another Civil War in America. It is a list of people who are interested in the parallels between the Civil War (or War Between the States, if you prefer) and our current situation, or more generally are noting the references to a 'coming Civil War' that are made in the press.

FR rules do not permit advocating for the overthrow of the Republic, and I am not aware of anyone doing so on the list. Still many do see that as the political climate worsens we may be heading in a direction that makes such a conflict all but inevitable, particularly if other avenues for resolving our differences are taken away. Such as widespread vote fraud by leftists making elections meaningless, or a small cadre of judges over-ruling all attempts to end destructive policies over the clear will of the people.

The correct keyword tag for the Civil War II ping list is "CWII".

Please Freep Mail me to get on the list

That’s about 90 million people, I wonder what the number is in the Military?

Starve the monkeys - that’s Tom Baugh’s take on it. Look up the book.

He advocates a reverse Cloward-Piven approach. Bleed the system out. They depend upon the productive - that’s us - to keep their filthy little Ponzi scheme going. It’s too late to save what’s left of what used to be called the American Republic. That’s gone. Only wishful thinking says that’s not so.

The challenge now becomes: with what will we replace it once we’re finished with what will be a housecleaning of Biblical proportions?

Lefties routinely crap their pants, wax indignant about the smell and demand that someone else clean it up at someone else’s expense.

Then they do it all over again.

" 18 percent said they neither agreed nor disagreed, 5 percent said they were unsure, and 1 percent refused to respond."

IOW 18 percent would neither confirm nor deny, 5 percent hadn't yet made up their minds, and 1 percent knew better than to answer because the question was probably a trap.

Let's see, 29, plus oh, what do you think, a third of the 18 percent, plus let's say half of the 5 percent but round it down to a whole number, plus all of the one percent who figured the question was a trap.

I get 39 percent, they're just not all saying.

Whoever they are, that is.

I don't think I know any of them. :)

Don’t over-react.

I agree, you never know why these kinds of polls are being taken. It may, as you say, be conducted by leftists, who, when they stage their Reichstag fire, will have an excuse to impose martial law. I have no doubt the left wingers would stoop that low, and even lower.

I’d bet the numbers are a lot higher but people don’t openly discuss or advocate for armed revolution.

Yeah, it's something that is not too comfortable to discuss. BTW, my fathers has been saying this since the 1970's.

Forget secession, that still leaves the bad guys with most of the country and the US military.

I’ve got news for you. There is absolutely nothing that can be done at the ballot box to right this mess and unless we somehow divorce ourselves from the leftist filth that now tilts the balance in this country, we are all going down in flames. We’ve tried the ballot box and the jury box and there is way too many layers of federal, state, and local law enforcement that didn’t exist in the 1860s to prevent any organized armed resistance. It is seccession or extinction. Those are the choices.
