Somewhat agree.

I know what he means but he’ll be crucified for it as uncaring to the victims and unsupportive of law enforcement by the drive-bys.

The historical potential for mass murder is far greater for a police state as demonstrated in the manhunt,

than for all the terrorist attacks combined.

After watching the Dornier manhunt and then the Boston terrorist manhunt can anyone even comprehend what would happen should there be squads of hundred men strong teams of pro-2A militia intent upon removing corrupt higher office holding persons absolutely without a doubt illegally going against the Constitution?

All across America at the same time?

no wonder DHS wants a couple billion rounds of ammo, they must be deathly terrified the sheeple are gonna uprise against the evil mutton butchers.

Is anyone in Boston complaining?
My guess is that they were terrified that they would be blown up next and are happy that the two were stopped.
I am counting on Liz Warren to take care of Boston, they voted for her.

If police searched without warrants does that mean that what they found could not be used against them in court?

Mixed feelings.

FReepers don’t want to admit it but they don’t have any other solutions and don’t want to admit that the days of the posse weren’t much different.

Some criticism of the manhunt may be valid, but how many Bostonians died or lost limbs at the hands of law enforcement officers during the manhunt?

Ron Paul went a bit too far. I don’t like the comparison, but he has a point on the heavy-handed manner of LE.

There are escaped prisoners loose every now and then, and madmen and armed criminals are on the loose in very major city. Note the idiotic LE didn’t even catch the last guy until Coupe Deval ended the lockdown, and a commoner called 911. It was not just unreasonable and disgraceful, it didn’t work all that well. Will they have lockdowns anytime there is any perceived danger?

What is really scary is that these freaks were in this country at all when the FBI knew about them. There are plenty more like them hanging out the local mosques and the government does not care to do anything at all about it. It would seem they take a giddy pleasure in the deaths of their fellow countrymen. There is no other reasonable explanation for these things happening in this country.

I am beginning to believe that our government wants civil war and blood shed in this country. It is all they will need to consolidate their power. This is why we have the open borders policy. It is not because Washington cares for them. It is because they despise the independent individual and all efforts are being made to destroy the very idea of freedom and intelligence. I can no longer give any of them the benefit of the doubt. If we Americans cannot find our courage and put an end to this while it is still relatively painless, it may be our families blood that is the next to spill.

Absolute corruption corrupts absolutely.

I may have it wrong that adage but when we have all across America SWAT teams nearly as well armed as the military all it takes is a corrupt government to take control.

We need a strong and capable police force for when the time comes, what we don’t want is that same force being issued orders when push comes to shove trying to enforce an illegal regime across the nation, or the prevent the people from correcting such political mistakes.

thats right, political mistakes or enemy action, can be viewed as the same by many.

Biden’s comments in Boston were laughable; “terrorists lost...Boston won’t be intimidated...etc”

that’s exactly what happened during the manhunt and lockdown.
Typical dem propaganda ....180 degrees from true. Up=down. True=false.
If he or Obie say its true it most certainly is not.

If big Sis says they’re not hoarding ammo you know they are. Facing tax increases is preceded with “I won’t raise taxes one dime”

I swear its a dem strategy. When they plan to implement strategy X, step #1 is to proclaim they would never ever consider strategy X.

I am nauseous to read the comments on this thread from so many who seem to believe that trading liberty for safety is okay — on FR of all places.. IT IS NEVER OKAY in a civilian community. The manhunt could have been done without all the militant police. I am shocked and dismayed at the attitudes expressed here. There should be outrage... I strongly suspect after reading this that FR has been heavily infiltrated by lefties...

Police had no right to bang on doors - point guns a civilians who came to the door - no right - none. Then outrageously at some homes people were made to coming out of their homes with hands on their heads - shouted at abusively. Then without warrant - the police entered and searched the homes -— That is one of the major reasons we fought the Revolutionary War !!!

There was not probable cause to do this - none. It was brute force.

I am ashamed of FR members who write such drivel saying that it is OKAY - no it is NOT.

He was Right, Millions just listening and not understanding it is their personnel responsibility and to allow military style search for 1 person. Had this individual tried to come into our home only one would have walked out at best.

We are becoming a nation of wimps, who in general, do not understand out Rights or Responsibilities.

As I posted on another thread last night:

A little lesson on the law: Allowing police to come into your home, even if it’s just for a new officer to introduce him/herself, is silent consent. If the officer sits down on your couch, feels something funny, pulls your unregistered revolver from the seat cushions, you’re in trouble. The same can happen in your vehicle. The cop pulls you over, asks you to get out, and starts going through your trunk. You have nothing to hide so why protest! You don’t say no so by doing so you’re saying yes. He finds your teenage son’s friend’s bag of weed. Guess who’s going to jail for this? I just took part in a huge Bill of Rights high school assembly. These scenarios are exactly the examples that the lawyers presented. If those cops saw anything in those houses, the fact that the residents let them in to look for a terrorist is irrelevant.

I can’t say he’s wrong. What bothered me most is the way the people of Watertown simply bent over and took it. I hope anyone there who refused to let the police in and were forcibly searched will follow up with a lawsuit.

It was a civilian resident who found Tsarnaev, not a cop. The search did nothing to find him. Simply cordoning the area would have produced the same result.

Look I have no problem with people using this search tactic to bash the governor. If a Republican governor had done this the left would be all over it. However, one of the reasons for this house to house searh in that neighborhood was that a suspected terrorist cell was harboring the fugitive. Both terrorist drove all over Waltham and Watertown for an hour, dense city streets, that only a local would have knowledge to navigate. They could have easily gotten on the Mass Pike and gassed up the car in five minutes from where the hijacking took place Allston. Who were the looking for or who did they meet up with in Watertown?

You open your borders, let in tens of millions of low-lifes and criminals, and this result is inevitable.

Liberty is not for everyone. That’s why we have jails. And locks on doors, and fences, and bank vaults.

It’s nothing new.
