I am sooo looking forward to some global warming.

Me, too! At the end of my street is a 4 way stop. The entire intersection was a lake. One corner occupant has a creek running beside their house. They had a sump pump in the lake and a hose running across the yard, up and over a snow berm, and into the creek. Yesterday when I came home the city was there with the probe, or whatever it is, in the drain. They had dug their way to it.

I stopped and asked if they were thawing...they said yes as the line was frozen solid way down the street. This evening water was running into the drain. Yippee! I just wish they would have thawed the other drain. Now the lake is only on our street side of the intersection, but 3/4 of the way across the street. It will be frozen in the morning.

I'm ready for some gorebul warming, too.

I met Admiral Nimitz when I was in boot camp in San Diego in 1962. He had been invited to view our graduation. He was a very short, frail man at the time but just wanted to talk to us boots. The other officers were trying to usher him to the grandstands but he stayed there talking to us. I still remember that about him. ;-)

Did not know that, Spel! Says a lot about him. IIRC, he was disciplined as an Ensign for some reason - can't remember what. Still made it to the top of the heap.

I always liked the episode of "Victory at Sea" on the Battle of Midway. They said that Nimitz "deduced" that the Japanese would attack at Midway. Of course, the info regarding the breaking of the Japanese codes had not been declassified when the series was aired.

Hi Kathy.

A warm 62 and snow/snow showers in the forecast (20%) Saturday and Sunday.

I’ve been planting a lot, but this weather sure is crazy this year.

How about you?

How are you doing?

Yesterday was beautiful, today the ceiling is VERY low.
My first order of business is to try to sleep in. I only have 2 easy errands.
