A senior Obama administration official said a series of briefings overnight have produced concern the Texas blast could have been at least criminal in nature. Authorities are trying to contain their speculation for fear of causing a panic, but the official told The Post the cause of the blast is "suspicious."
Authorities suspect the blast was set off by a truck or rail car holding a large quantity of ammonia that somehow caught fire or blew up. Ammonia, under certain conditions, can become combustible or explosive.
"It's 50-50," the source said. "Some sort of explosion caused the ammonia truck/rail car to create a shockwave up to a half-mile away, destroying that little town."

Everything thereafter is Bull Cheese. I believe NOTHING that emanates from the the White Hut.

Point taken.
Three instances of double posting on this thread within a minute or so. I wonder if FR is going to have problems now.
They are passing out free tin foil hats down on the corner. I can think of a bunch of people who need to go check that out and get one or two of them.
This is more bull than can be buried in a lifetime.
When I hit post, my screen goes mostly blank and I have to refresh. Not an issue on any other forum I'm currently logged on to.

I would beg to differ. Judging by the amount of devastation, blowing up such a plant is of great value to someone with destruction and fear in mind. Just be damn glad it didn't happen in your neighborhood.
I believe that’s what it’s at but they’re still searching.
Huh?? Oh yeah, the media did mention that once. They said around 20 to 30 killed and over 100 injured. Meanwhile, back on the streets of Boston....
check out the slow-mo in 21...
I was watching it on Fox late last night, and they had a sound clip from one of the firefighters inside just before the explosion. He said to the 911 dispatch: “A BOMB JUST WENT OFF IN HERE!” then asked for more assistance. It could have been an expression of the suddenness of the fire and its spread, but those are his exact words. Don’t know if it was retained in the official broadcast later.
I’ll wait to hear it from somebody more credible than a ‘Senior Obama Administration Official’. Preferably somebody that has actually been to West, Texas ... and has at least a slight understanding of how a fertilizer factory might malfunction when on fire.

That's another phrase the media is careful not to use, IED. They beat themselves when they are forced to use the word terrorist or terrorism too.
One of the networks said that there were many tons of ammonium nitrate stored there. Maybe 100 tons.
Ban guns! That is the least we can do to honor those killed in this senseless explosion. < /sarc>

No, ban farming, GC. If it hadn’t been for farms, this never would have happened!
It may be my iPad acting up. Apologies.
I did not post those remarks and agree with you..infrastructure is on the AQ hit list. I read the stuff the terrorists wrote after we captured the info at Tora Bora. The AQ manual use to be on the FBI website..but the PC police took it down. They talked about hitting nuclear and chemical sites.
