The father of a Connecticut child is furious after discovering that his sons school is teaching students that Americans dont have a Second Amendment right to bear arms.
I am appalled, said Steven Boibeaux, of Bristol. It sounds to me like they are trying to indoctrinate our kids.
Boibeauxs son is an eighth grader at Northeast Middle School. On Monday his social studies teacher gave students a worksheet titled, The Second Amendment Today.
The courts have consistently determined that the Second Amendment does not ensure each individual the right to bear arms, the worksheet states. The courts have never found a law regulating the private ownership of weapons unconstitutional.
The worksheet, published by Instructional Fair, goes on to say that the Second Amendment is not incorporated against the states.
This means that the rights of this amendment are not extended to the individual citizens of the states, the worksheet reads. So a person has no right to complain about a Second Amendment violation by state laws.
According to the document, the Second Amendment only provides the right of a state to keep an armed National Guard.
His sons teacher also told the students that the Constitution is a living document. As noted in the worksheet provided to students that means the interpretation changes to meet the needs of the times.
The judges and courts of each generation provide the interpretation of the document, the worksheet states.
School officials did not return calls seeking comment.

I am surprised that a person living in CT would be surprised. The 2nd Amendment is part of the Supreme Law of the Land and the people voted for its destruction last November. The majority of Americans voted for the most lawless president this nation has ever seen. An utterly lawless president who does almost nothing to hide it. If that is not withdrawing consent to be governed by the law then what is?
Nice to see teaches are just heading out pre-printed handouts these days, instead if doing actual reasearch on SCOTUS rulings themselves.
Michael Moore’s movies need to be tossed in along with Food, Inc., Supersize Me and etc.
Call me when our kids get to hear how free minds and free markets built America and at the end of the first century of her existence Progressives decided on “Change” and here we are.
The kid got all the way into the 8th grade before the parent discovered that ‘INDOCTRINATION’ is occurring inside America’s public schools?
better late than never, I suppose.
A mere 134 years after the RTKBA was enshrined in the Cons. the Nation Guard was dreamed up. Therefore the only reason for the RTKBA is the National Guard. Thinking skills like these explain why gas station employees are consistently shocked when I buy an item, hand them a few 20’s and tell them how much to give me in gas and make it add up to the amount of cash given. Its like subtraction has become a majic trick....
I would propose that a limit begins with crew served weapons and up.Though Ted Nugent might disagree with me here.

Good for you — and your son! I would have loved to have been a fly-on-the-wall when the teacher read your note. Did she try to retaliate against your son? Hope not. She knows you are watching.
We've had a few "discussions" this year and most of them revolved around me telling her that I didn't much care what her opinion was on much of anything outside of verbs, nouns and multiplication. She spent much of the first half of the school year telling us we needed to drug our kid with riddalin because he was "out of control". Out of control to her is occasionally whispering and talking during class time, talking during bathroom break, talking at lunchtime and requiring an explanation for her actions when she demands that he perform some task that others are not expected to do. In other words, he's a normal 10 year old boy who sometimes doesn't know when to shut up. He's not the perfect student by any stretch, but he's perfect to me. He uses his mind to his advantage and questions authority at every opportunity. His eyes are open to the world around him and he wants the whole story, not just the part they want to tell him.
Our last meeting ended with me asking her if it would be too difficult for her to just teach my son the academics for just a few more months and ignore her urge to criticize his personality, then we could part ways and never had to deal with one another again.
I think she got the point. Catholic school is always kind of tough, but this lady has control issues, it's very evident. She wants a bunch of drugged zombies so she doesn't have to put forth any extra effort.
